Uzalo’s Actors Future Allegedly Hangs In The Balance!

Uzalo actress Dawn Thandeka King’s future on the primetime soapie, is reportedly hanging in the balance. According to a Sunday World source, the actress and her fellow-star colleague Siyabonga Shibe, are skating on thin ice with the producers of the show.

This follows after pair allegedly asked for a salary increase, and things turned sour for them.

“These two are no longer in the producer’s good books because they made the mistake of asking for a salary increase.” said the source.

Thandeka is also accused of having diva tendencies on set, and she apparently makes the directors and writer’s job hard with demands to change the story lines.

“Dawn is, in fact, among the actors who have a dark cloud hanging over their head, her attitude recently isn’t doing her any favour, She makes the writers and directors’ job difficult because she sometimes demands to change the storylines.”

“She was very close to one of the directors who left Uzalo for Imbewu, Since the directors’s departure, things have been hard for her.” said the source.

Thulane Shange who also portrays the character of Thulani, has also left the show as his contract ended. When the publication contacted Siyabonga he said he is not aware of this and Thandeka could not be reached for comment.
