Gomora’s Thati left viewers impressed with her “hijack with class” style as she joined her mother on the wrong side of the law, and did a whole hijacking stunt in high heels.

After trying her “hardest” to make a living after her rich husband’s sudden and unfortunate death, Thati has finally given up her morals to join her gangster mama in the Gomora hijacking business. Fans couldn’t help but stan at how she did the job with Thati swag!

Being her mother’s favourite sure came through for Thati, because even after she made sure her mother got arrested for her own husband’s hijacking and murder, her mother forgave her.

Not only did she forgive her, she went on to butter her up until Thati joined her illegal business.

Thati is using the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Through her mother’s business, she gets to make her rich frenemies pay for abandoning her in her time of need and she makes enough money to get out if the financial mess her husband left her in.

Tweeps can’t say they didn’t see this coming but they sure were impressed by how she’s keeping her classy Sandton fashion sense, even when she’s clearly gunning for the Gomora queen title like her mother.

Actress Phindile Gwala has had her fair share of criticism since she joined the acting industry over ten years ago and says she’s worked out how to deal with unconstructive criticism.

In an interview with TshisaLIVE recently, Phindile explained that it didn’t just magically happen that she grew a thicker skin to go with her career in the public domain. She explained that it took her a few years to understand that she doesn’t have to take people’s unkindness as a “perk of the job”.

“I’ll be honest and say that in the beginning (of my career) I used to catch feelings when people criticised me. It used to pain me so much but as I grew I learned to understand that people will never be satisfied. Whether you do good or bad, they will continue to talk.

“Now I am in that stage in my life where critics don’t do any harm to me. You can criticise me all you like. However, I don’t want negative energy around me so I’ve since decided that I block anyone who brings it … because I don’t want to go that route in life where I have to attend to everyone’s’ pain.

“As you know, hurt people hurt people and they always try to drag you down to their level and I have no time for that.”

The Covid-19 pandemic has rained on Phindile’s parade, as she was just enjoying doing the international promos for the film Looking For Love which stars her and Celeste Ntuli, but she is looking forward to coming back to the small screen soon.

In the meantime, the actress has been busy with her first love, theatre plays, and monologues to ensure that she keeps her skills sharp.

And even though all signs may point towards 2020 not being anyone’s year, she’s hasn’t given up on her dream roles emerging in big productions this year.

“2020 is still my year! Yep, I said it,” Phindile said.

The one thing she knows for sure is that she will never quit!

Media personalities and brothers SK and Abdul Khoza have recorded some videos to give their fans a front row seat into their childhood as they share fond and not-so fond memories of how their bond grew.

Abdul, who plays Qhaphela on Isibaya, and SK, who is best known as The Queen’s Shaka, are brothers in real life.

They recently told entertaining stories on Instagram that left their fans in stitches.

Looking back at some of his “fails” as a big brother, SK remembered a time he intentionally left his younger brother at school because he was angry that Abdul didn’t wanna share his lunch with him. This despite the fact that SK had the same lunch and ate it earlier on the day.

“He (SK) asked me if he could have some of my lunch and I said, ‘No, you got the same thing’. That’s why he left me, imagine! He got mad,” Abdul said. The guys explained that SK, who is the older brother, got into a taxi and left his younger brother behind.

SK said the mess he had made by leaving his brother behind only got real for him a few hours later when it was getting dark and Abdul was still not home.

“A couple of hours later, I’m asked: Where is your brother? Oh God, I’m hiding under the bed, I’m sh**ing myself, it’s getting dark and my brother still hasn’t come home,” SK recalled.

The pair told the story and were almost brought to tears by how much they laughed at themselves.

SK said he’s still can’t believe he did that, and in retrospect gave props to Abdul for figuring out how to get home.Fans wondered how the story of “missing Abdul” ended up and how small Abdul actually found his way home. He explained his side in the comment section to give them his take on how he eventually got back home.

“I had to jump into another car of ‘uMalume’ I didn’t know. But he said as long as I can direct him, he will get me home,” Abdul concluded the story.
