Minnie Dlamini has clapped back at trolls, who are hating on her car surprise video. As she celebrated her 30th birthday yesterday, Minnie posted a video on social media where she was surprised with a brand new Jaguar car.

he video shows Minnie who is the ambassador of Jaguar, walking out of her house with her eyes closed as someone is guiding her to the garage where her gift is parked, as she opens her eyes she is excited to meet her brand new baby.

oon after posting the video, some tweeps said the surprise was “fake” and said she should have marked the video “paid sponsorship”. Some trolls even hated on her and said she is a good actress.

Minnie clapped back and said, after it all, she got a car on her birthday.

Veteran actress Mary Twala’s funeral will take place tomorrow morning. A statement released on behalf of her famous son Somizi Mhlongo on Wednesday morning confirmed the funeral details.

“Due to the current global pandemic of Covid-19, the funeral will adhere to the current national funeral restrictions of only 50 attendees allowed, together with the necessary health protocols being observed. No members of the public may attend the funeral,” the statement read issued by Kgadi Mothotse read.

Twala died at Netcare’s Parklane Hospital in Johannesburg on Saturday morning at age 79.Twala was renowned for her comic relief characters in local productions such as Sarafina!, Molo Fish, Hlala Kwabafileyo, Generations, Skwizas, Muvhango, Yizo Yizo and many more.

“I’m shattered to the core, but I’d be very selfish if I don’t release her. My mom lived to the fullest [and] achieved beyond her dreams,” son Somizi Mhlongo wrote on Instagram when he broke the news.

Playwright and stalwart Welcome Msomi will also be buried tomorrow. Msomi died on Friday after he was admitted on Thursday at a hospital in Durban. He will be buried in uMlazi, Durban.

 

A funeral service for veteran actress Mary Twala will be held in Soweto on Thursday, after her death in a Johannesburg hospital over the weekend.

Mary died on Saturday at Netcare Park Lane Hospital in Johannesburg at the age of 80. She had been in and out of hospital for several months and struggled with diabetes.“Due to the current global pandemic of Covid-19, the funeral will adhere to the current national funeral restrictions of only 50 attendees allowed, together with the necessary health protocols being observed. No members of the public may attend the funeral,” a statement from the family read.

The service will be held at Grace Bible Church in Soweto, and will be streamed on several platforms, including her son Somizi Mhlongo’s Twitter account.

Fans and friends, including some well-known celebrities who will not be in attendance today, have been asked to send messages to the family via WhatsApp.She has starred in, among others, Sarafina!, Deliwe, Taxi to Soweto, Undenzani Melwane, Iqhawe, Hlala Kwabafileyo, Soul Buddyz, Child Of Soweto, Khululeka, Yizo-Yizo, SOS and Muvhango.

Earlier this year an emotional Mary attended Somizi and Mohale’s wedding, where she gave her blessing to the union and shared how proud she was of Somizi.The Idols SA star was on his way to the hospital when he got a call from the doctors telling him to hurry because his mother’s health was deteriorating rapidly.

Somizi was devastated by her death and, taking to Twitter, he wrote: “The tree has fallen. I’m shattered to the core.” He later shared on Instagram several memorable moments he spent with his mother.

Somizi said anyone should not be surprised when he rises beyond because he has the most generous ancestor.Somizi described his mother as a very successful woman in every aspect, whose work ethic was impeccable. He said her mother was a very punctual person who left on his fathers birthday and is being buried on his husband’s birthday.
