Poet and activist, Ntsiki Mazwai has broken her silence following DJ Fresh’s statement on the rape allegations against him. Whilst she did not speak directly on the matter, as ordered by the Johannesburg High Court, the poet indicated once again that she has been ordered not to speak about the situation.
In since-deleted tweets, Ntsiki stated, “Guys I’m not allowed to comment on ANY gbv and rape topics… Pls don’t tag me.”, and “I’d rather listen to my lawyer than to some random tweep hey.”
Thereafter, Ntsiki shared other tweets which questioned why she has been receiving backlash, as she believes that her life doesn’t affect anyone else.

The actress recently spoke about why she has never been married and discussed her aversion to jumping the broom. “Love is complicated, let’s just start there,” Nia reportedly said. “And then you start a marriage, which I’ve never been married. And there’s a reason for that because I don’t know that I need to say ‘I do’ to prove to you that I love you. But also, what does marriage really [mean]… that you own me now and I own you?
