South African musician, Cassper Nyovest, expressed his overwhelming feelings of glee on Twitter, after his mother listened to one of his tracks from his upcoming album, Any Minute Now. The award-winning rapper claimed that his mama finally gave him her stamp of approval, after she stated that she can listen to his music now due to his restraint on vulgarity.

He stated, “My mom heard me play this record i made last night. She came to me and said “wa gola yanong neh” meaning you’re growing up now. Then she says “Now i can listen to your music myself”. I laughed it off but i was HYPE AF!!! THIS ALBUM IS GONNA BE ONE FOR THE BOOKS”

Cass has consistently self-promoted his album which releases on Friday, 11 September 2020, as he believes that it is his best body of work thus far. He has also pleaded with his audience to truly listen to every element of the album, as he has put in a monumental amount of hard work and effort into this project.

South African media personality, Ntando Duma, has once again been called out for being vocal about supporting the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). On Sunday, 26 July 2020 Ntando took to social to give what looked like a heartfelt birthday message for the EFF, the political party which she openly supports. She stated, “Happy birthday to the most vocal voice of our lifetime @EFFSouthAfrica. May you see many more years. Thank you for taking care of your people and thank you for arousing the minds of the young black people in our country & beyond. Siyabonga.”

Her tweet caused quite a stir, as her followers believed that the EFF has solicited her as celebrity, to openly support their campaign. Tired of the accusations made against her and her political stance, Ntando clarified with, “We can’t even send our party a mere birthday message without y’all thinking we got paid for it? You are disappointing. Who gets paid for wishing others a happy birthday?”.

DJ TruMpeT took to Twitter and shared the first version of Isivunguvungu ft Rethabile which is now the song Umlilo hitmaker is working on with Prince Kaybee.

The DJ explained that he is not saying that anyone stole the song or anything but if Winnie Khumalo could talk everyone would be shocked. Prince Kaybee’s and DJ TruMpeT tracks are only similar in lyrics not beat.

In a tweet, Prince Kaybee explained that Rethabile came to the studio and recorded on a beat he gave her and did not let him know she had previously recorded with someone else.
