Cassper Nyovest has been announced as the first guest judge on Idols season sixteen premiere, which airs on Sunday, 2 August 2020. Whilst the news of his appearance didn’t call for any drama, trust our boy Cass to make an unnecessary comment which riled up The Megacy.

In a tweet, which also showed the preview for the season premiere, Cassper stated, “I’m on Idols this Sunday!!!! Singing without auto tune!!!! Yall better watch this!!!!”. Despite not mentioning his names, Tweeps were certain that he was referencing AKA, and started calling him out for starting unnecessary drama.

Cassper then noticed all the comments, and followed with, “Hao !!! Why are you guys excited about the auto tune part of this video?”.

South African media star, Boity Thulo, has updated fans with regards to her fitness journey, claiming that she has already lost 7kgs. Despite have lost a monumental amount of weight already, she stated that she still plans on losing 6 more kgs, until she reaches her goal-drop of 13kgs.

Khanyi Mbau has finally addressed all the scrutiny regarding her choice to lighten her skin, claiming that it has been her personal choice to do so. In an Instagram video on Tuesday, 28 July 2020, Khanyi posted a one-hour-long video where she talked about her journey of skin lightening, in promotion of her latest sponsor, Sparkle Skincare.

She stated that the process began in 2011, after she realised that white makeup artists were unable to cater to her skin tone. In an attempt to rectify this issue, the actress decided to start taking Glutathione IV drips and pills, which was ultimately useless. Eventually she realised that the only way to achieve lighter skin was to use surface products, as it had the most effective results.

Khanyi further clarified that by her lightening her skin, she was not looking down upon others with darker skin. She stated that it was her personal chose, and having fair skin made her look fresh and glowy, and made her Instagram POP!

South African media personality, Somizi Mhlongo, is the latest celebrity to join in the global challenge which aims to highlight women who are supporting women. However, seeing as the Somizi is a man, his participation did not sit well with some of his fans, who called him out for discrediting the meaning behind the challenge.

The video showed Somizi dressed in full-on drag, complete with a dramatic wig and corset dress. He added a black and white filter as part of the challenge and captioned it with, “#challengeaccepted thanks @moneoa for nominating me…..I dedicate this post too all the women of the world.”

Dominque Coleman commented with, “I’m a fan. But this is not cool. You are not a women, you don’t understand the struggle. This is like a white person taking part in a black-only challenge. Wouldn’t fly would it?”.
