Kuli Roberts has slammed those who discriminate based on complexion.

Radio and TV personality Kuli Roberts has weighed in on the colourism debate, saying that dark-skinned girls should not be pressured into hating their complexion.

The star, who has been an active advocate in encouraging dark-skinned girls and women to love their complexion, took to Twitter recently to lash out at society’s view of dark-skinned girls.

“We are not going to have a generation of dark-skinned kids hating their complexions because of you. Not today, satan,” she wrote.

When a follower asked how she would deal with family members who favour one child over another because of their lighter skin, Kuli said the person should correct them.

She said people need to speak out on discrimination and teach relatives the right way to treat people, even if it sometimes makes you unpopular.Kuli was herself a victim of “sinister comments” when she posted a series of snaps.

When one follower said she found the pictures “quite goofy and funny”, Kuli said it hadn’t stopped others from being “vile”.

“Some black folks have other sinister comments which I ignore, as you and I relate and they don’t. So just because they look like you doesn’t mean they will relate. Obviously I don’t give two hoots. When folk are vile, you ignore em.”

South African media personality, Somizi Mhlongo, has jumped on the Nomzamo Mbatha train, and is amongst most South African men who are unable to resist her beauty. In an Instagram post on Sunday, 16 August 2020, Somizi shared a flawless image of Nomzamo, captioning it with, “hayi sisi woza……convert me from a rand to a dollar……from gay to straight….”

He also asked that Nomzamo gift him with his second born child, and if possible, it should be a set of twins. Nomzamo quickly responded with, “Father of my kids. Baba wezingane zami. I choose you.”

Thickleeyonce took to social media on Sunday, 16 August 2020 to share flawless images of herself posing in a beige Rich Mnisi outfit. The influencer, struck a fierce pose for the camera, and ordered viewers to, “Appreciate thick thighs”. The ensemble comprised a crop top and high waist skirt which showed off her legs.

Following her post, tweeps began attacking her weight, ordering her to dress differently and more conservatively. Fed up with the negativity received after posting images, Thickleeyonce stated, “Y’all are so pressed about what I put on MY body. If it fits me, it’s for my body type… My mentions are annoying me. Y’all hate to see fat women happy and wearing whatever they want.”

She then insinuated that haters who feel as though she would change her wardrobe based on their opinion are completely delusional. Actress, Jessica Nkosi, weighed in on the issue, stating, “The fact that you have to go through this everytime you post a picture!!! Kanti bakhathala nini. haysukaaaaaa!!!!!!!”, to which she responded with, “Sis i can’t believe I have to deal with this every fucking week for 5 years + YHO!!!”. Y’all are so pressed about what I put on MY body. If it fits me, it’s for my body type. You look hella crusty to be commenting about my outfits. Mind your own wardrobe Lerato.

Sizwe accused him of lying and they started exchanging some nasty tweets.

Mzansi Magic’s hit telenovela The Queen has reclaimed the second position on the most viewed shows on DStv.

This comes after The Queen was dethroned by newcomer Gomora in the top ratings, but not all is lost for Gomora as they hold the number three spot.

Gomora in July managed to pull a total of 1 314 954 viewers and The Queen pulled in 1 401 203 viewers. Moja Love’s Uyajola 9/9 still remains the most viewed show on DStv with 1 432 630 viewers.

Despite all the negative that is directed at The Queen, they are still able to win viewers over with their captivating storyline.

The Queen’s season four finale went out with a huge bang that had most of Mzansi talking about the production. Season 5 saw the Ferguson production celebrate its 1000th episode.
