The Meaning Of My Yoki Yoki Limpopo musician Vhudi has impressed Mzansi with his song

Limpopo musician Vhudi has become an instant sensation following his performance on popular singing competition Idols SA.

Vhudi auditioned in Johannesburg and following his performance has received requests from Davido and Black Coffee to work with him.

He performed his own original song My Yoki Yoki, which had judges Somizi Mhlongo, Unathi Nkayi, Randall Abrahams and Buhle Mda singing along.

Speaking to Sowetan, the 20-year-old explained the meaning of the now-famous song.

“I was trying to impress someone when I wrote the song,” he told the publication.

“I didn’t get the girl, but she was very excited about the song. Yes, My Yoki Yoki is shortened from ‘My Yonkinto’. It just came up as I was writing the song.”

Vhudi’s performance has created quite the buzz around the young man, with some people already calling My Yoki Yoki song of the summer.

The rapper expressed his shock over the death of Kwasa, and said all we hear is that we need to do better but nothing is being done.

Cassper Nyovest had social media triggered once again with his choice of clothing at an event.

The rapper rocked a purple tracksuit hoodie, neon green durag and camouflage pants at Thobeka Majozi’s lavish baby shower.

Thobeka was wearing a blue puffy dress, which fitted the theme perfectly as they are expecting a baby boy.

His colour blocking was met with anger and rage from social media as this is not the first time he had been off theme with his outfit.

Clapping back he says that social media trolls are nothing but broken souls that are always out to get him.

“Too many broken souls on these apps. That’s why I keep my private life away. That’s why my private life is soooo good and healthy!” he claimed.

Advising his fans on how to be happy, he wrote, “If you love it, protect it. Keep it away from people. People are very miserable and they hate seeing other people happy with what they have.

“It’s not about money or fame. People just hate to see you happy and content with what you have so they project their insecurities on you.”

Mbongeni has had the pleasure travel around the world to give them a taste of what South African talent feels like. He is known for his phenomenal productions such as Sarafina and Woza Albert which have represented the country on global stages.

The legend recently released a remix for his renowned song Freedom, featuring some South Africa’s renowned musicians such as Emtee, Reason, Gigi Lamayne, Blacklez, Saudi, Tamasha, and MJ Machaba.Speaking about working with the young talents he says “It was fun, it was really exciting to work with these young artists who have so much to give, the generation of today and to get their energy to the music was amazing,” he explains.

Mbongeni says he is currently a music video for the remix and fans are in for some real treat, “They can expect the high energies from these young artists from Gigi Lamayne, Saudi that is the energy they will get.”

The seasoned entertainer says he decided to release the remix this year because he is currently working on a new albumin the year titled Vintage.

The album will be about the journey of his life in music from childhood “I started working on it 3 years ago, it’s been a journey of love and it has taken me 3 years to record it,” he says.

Mentioning all the people he worked with he said” All the musician in South Africa you may think of, from Themba Mkhize to Khaya Mahlangu, there are 100 artists on the album.”

Mbongeni has been nourishing young talents for the longest time and he says he wants to be remembered for that “My whole life, I have been developing young talent my productions such as Sarafina,Woza Albert, Asinamalli all of those were about developing young talents.”

Sunday World recently published an extract from his ex-wife, Xoliswa Nduneni-Ngema’s memoir titled Heart of A Strong Woman.

The extract details how actress Leleti Khumalo was beaten by Xoliswa for having an affair with him. It further details how Mbongeni allegedly assaulted her.

Mbongeni said he will release a statement on the allegations once the book has been published. In a statement he released a few days ago he said when the article was published he was not contacted. He further said he has maintained a good relationship with Xoliswa since they parted ways and they discussed her writing the memoir last year.
