Ntando Duma has once again received admiration for her parenting skills, after she shared a video of herself and three-year-old daughter, Sbahle. The clip shared onto Instagram today, 21 August 2020, saw the mother-daughter-duo opening up a package from DStv, with Sbhale clearly articulating each item that was in the box.

Ntando’s daughter has consistently been praised for her command of English, as well as the five other languages she speaks, and this time was no different! The three-year-old confidently sang a song with the days of the week, and was even able to read the words, “School Of Laughter”, which appeared on her laptop.

Prince Kaybee Is On The Hunt For New Talent He’s going to produce a song with them!

Prince Kaybee has started his own Twitter competition, where he called upon women to audition to be a part of a collaborative new single. In a Tweet on Thursday, 22 August 2020, the musician claimed that if he received 5000 retweets, he pledges to make a song with someone he finds on the social media platform.

He stated, “For 5000 retweets I produce a song for someone here on twitter. A woman because its women’s month (sorry gents).” Later on, Prince Kaybee shared a snippet of the backing track, which heard a house beat with percussion instrumentation throughout. Fans have continued to share their auditions on Twitter, causing for #PrinceKaybeeFindsNewTalent to start trending.

Superstar DJ Cuppy has finally dropped her first album, Original Copy and she couldn’t be prouder of the results. Ahead of the album’s release ZAlebs caught up with the London-based DJ at a virtually held press conference, where she shared more about the project.

She says: “I am so proud that the album is now out. For me it’s not about numbers and statistics and charts. It’s about the fact that I was able to focus and actually achieve my dream of having an album. So honestly, I’m already happy regardless of what happens. Nonetheless, I encourage everyone to join this journey and I hope they enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making this album.”

The album consists of 12 tracks that sees Cuppy go back to her roots to develop a sound she calls neo-African beats. The album features collaborations with Wyclef Jean, Julian Marley, Rema, Darkoo, Stonebwoy and Ms Banks and includes the hit single Jollof On The Jet that has already charted in 15 countries. The name Original Copy was picked by her fans after Cuppy ran a Twitter poll.

Arts and culture minister Nathi Mthethwa’s response to media mogul Bonang Matheba has caused outrage on social media.

On Thursday, the minister called on Bonang to share her concerns with him on why she found him to be “annoying”.

This after Mthethwa received backlash in response to his congratulatory post to R&B singer Elaine being signed by Columbia Records.

Many slammed Mthethwa, saying the only thing he was good for was to issue congratulations and condolences but not funds for local artists and entertainers who have been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Over the past few months, artists and entertainers have been expressing their frustrations with the arts and culture department after not receiving payments from the Covid-19 relief fund of R150m that government announced.On Twitter, one user said Mthethwa was annoying, to which Bonang agreed, saying, “Me too. Very much.”

Acknowledging that he saw the tweet, Mthethwa said Bonang was welcome to write to him about her concerns.

“Noted Bonang. I would like to invite you & @Mpumz_N to kindly share your concerns with me. You may share them on this platform, via DM’s or e-mail. Whichever platform you prefer,” he said.
