5 Celeb Friendships That Turned Sour Where did it all go wrong?

Like any other relationship that can go west, our ZAlebs have also had their fall outs with their besties.

With this, some of the celebs have kept their distance from each other, but there are some who are always at each other’s throats. This many to wonder if ever their beef will end.

Here’s a look at some celebs who started off as friends, but their relationships went down south and today they are not on speaking terms.

1. Nomzamo Mbatha VS Jessica Nkosi

Nomzamo and Jessica were reportedly one of Mzansi’s fave celeb friendships and many adored them. However, it seems a man came in between and all things went south.

Rumors are that Jessica, who was friends with Nomzamo, “snatched” Khaya from her and that reportedly caused a rift between the Isibaya co-stars. In an interview on Zaziwa, Khaya commented about the situation and said: “I think, for me, the position I wanna take ngayo (on it), is that between Nomzamo and I, it becomes harder to speak out about something once kwaba involved imindeni (families were involved).”

The least to say, it seems Jessica and Nomzamo want nothing to do with each other anymore.

2. Cassper VS AKA

Talk about one of the longest beefs that Mzansi has seen, Cassper and AKA definitely top the charts.

The platinum-selling musicians started out as friends but things became sour between them shortly after Cassper released his hit single with Okmalumkoolkat, Gusheshe.

According to AKA, Cassper’s moaning on social media rubbed him the wrong way.

“He was coming up, I think it was around the Gusheshe time, and I’ve always looked out for new artists. We had even started to work on music together. One day I think he had put his video out or something, and the next day he went off about ‘I don’t have the support, no one is really holding me down, and I’m going to put this song out and show everybody.’ I think we kind of fell out, maybe because of things he said on Twitter as people do,” he told MTV Base in a 2015 interview.

Things got ugly from there. Both AKA and Cassper released “diss” tracks about each other. AKA took a swipe at his nemesis in his 2015 smash hit, Composure. The two have never seen eye to eye even going as far as talking about the other’s mother, which Cassper did not take kind to.

3. Minnie Dlamini VS Boity

These two ladies were really close to each other, they even started together in the industry. With such a friendship, one would expect that they would have supported each other to reach greater heights in the industry.

However, the besties didn’t last as rumours started circulating that Boity was now jealous of Minnie. This is because Minnie kept bagging all the roles that Boity envied. Minnie’s career was on the rise and for Boity it really wasn’t happening and that’s what’s believed to have caused a rift between them.

4. Lerato Kganyago VS Skolopad

Skolopad revealed that media personality Lerato Kganyago had added her to her ‘blocked list’ after making a joke about her. Lerato was not ready to be bothered as she reacted to the tweet immediately, as she usually does, by blocking her on social media.

Lerato Kganyago then went on to question Skolopad’s confusion to her blocking her saying:

“Some of y’all are bordering psychotic, you go out of your way to disturb our peace by bringing negativity to our timelines, we block you for our own sanity, and then you ask why we blocked you? So we must allow you to disturb our peace?”

5. Boity VS Khanya Mkangisa

Whether its winter or summer Boity and Khanya had always been the envy of many. Even with their bikini game at the Pop Bottles Mauritius, However, it’s no secret that Boity & Khanya called time on their celebrity friendship – for what reason, is anyone’s guess.

When Khanya revealed that she and J. Molley, Boity seemed to throw shade at her as she had taken an ally in Molley’s ex, Shamiso. Meanwhile, Khanya looks like she’s found a new celeb friend in fellow radio DJ, Thando Thabethe. The pair have been posting cute pics together on social media
