Prince Kaybee Gears Up To Drop His Last Single Of 2020

South African House musician, Prince Kaybee, revealed the he will be dropping his final single of the year on Friday, 4 September 2020. The Fetch Your Life creator took to Twitter to share the news, stating, “Don’t forget its Prince Kaybee day on Friday. I’m dropping my last single for the year 2020.”

The single which is titled, Astrende, comes off his upcoming album, Project Hope, which saw him bringing together 10 unsigned female singers, which he scouted from Twitter. Prince Kaybee originally called for aspiring singers to share their vocals on social media, to stand a chance at collaborating with him on his new album. After being inundated with a variety of potential artists, the musician decided to choose 10 women and not one, and create a full album, titled Project Hope.

On Sunday, 30 August 2020, Prince Kaybee revealed that the production for the album was set to commence on Monday, 31 August 2020, stating, “Tomorrow we finally recording the #ProjectHope album. Cannot wait to meet all the winners.” He had previously mentioned that the winners will be collaborating with him on a wide spread of genres, which will also serve as an opportunity for him to test his versatility as a music producer. Thereafter, the women will receive prizes once the album is completed.

DJ Maphorisa: Twitter Ke Satan Shame Trolls are getting to him…

South African musician, DJ Maphorisa took to Twitter on Tuesday, 1 September 2020, to reveal that the hate comments he receives on the platform are starting to affect him. The most recent hate came after he posted two images of himself earlier in the day, which showed him in a multi-coloured ensemble. Whilst Phori believed that he was looking fresher than ever, tweeps shared their distaste for his outfit.

Trolls began comparing him to a clown, and even made reference to the South African dish – seven colours. Some even shared images of jumping castles and multi-coloured tyres seen at playgrounds, claiming that he looked similar to those objects. Lindokuhle Ndlovu replied with, “Phori you must fire your designer and your make up specialist.”, whilst Baka Dhlomo stated, “You look like the national flag or that parachute we use in school. If this look cost money, my man I’m sorry.”

After scrolling through the feedback he received from his followers, DJ Maphorisa tweeted, “I love Instagram comments more than twitter, twitter ke satan shame.” His observation sparked further controversy, as followers believed that as a public figure, he should be open to receiving criticism from his fans. Sakhile tweeted, “This is where yo supporters are…. U have to be strong Papa…”.

Twitter has been known as the troll-platform of South Africa in recent years, with many celebrities calling out Tweeps for the unnecessary hate they receive. Prince Kaybee previously shared that he was hurt by the fact that his words are always misconstrued no matter what he says, whilst AKA agreed that he is used to seeing haters appear on his timeline. Cassper Nyovest has also chimed in on the subject matter, and has chosen to take the high road in most situations.

South African media personality, Boity Thulo, has thrilled fans with a preview of her logo for an upcoming business project. Captioning the post with, “Something special is coming…”, the reality star has not divulged further details about what’s to come, causing for fans to speculate on what they think it is.

The logo shows a gold silhouette of a woman, who is surrounded by a halo. The Own Your Throne star appears to be playing with the title of her show, referencing a Queen of some sort. Fans have started with the guessing game, with many speculating that it could be a hair care line. One fan tweeted, “Own Your Crown hair care? That would be dope.”, another follower guessed, “A record label or an album? Spill the tea please!”.

The media star is no stranger to the entrepreneurial world, as she previously launched a pharmaceutical company in 2017, Human Limitless, which produces body-toning pills called Boity Toning Support. In 2016, she collaborated with Sissy-Boy for a jean collection which was aimed to provide jeans for curvier women. In July 2018, she went on to release another collection with the clothing brand. In 2018, she partnered with Impulse SA in creating a range of fragrances, which continued to grow popular over the years.

Boity has also partnered with many other companies as their brand ambassador, with her most recent partnership speculated to be with Cartier.
