Limpopo native Vhudi, has dropped his hit single titled My Yoki Yoki. The musician became an instant hit when he made his appearance on Mzansi’s hit singing competition SA Idols.

Vhudi gave the judges a stellar performance during his audition, singing his very own own song My Yoki Yoki, which ultimately won the hearts of many. Somizi Mhlongo, Unathi Nkayi, Randall Abrahams and Buhle Mda could not stop singing along him.

Vhudi gave the judges and avid watchers of the show goosebumps and his appearance on the show trended on Twitter, with many hyping high praises on his performance.

Speaking to Sowetan recently, the 20-year-old explained the meaning of the track.“I was trying to impress someone when I wrote the song,” he told the publication.“I didn’t get the girl, but she was very excited about the song. Yes, My Yoki Yoki is shortened from ‘My Yonkinto’. It just came up as I was writing the song.

Vhudi finally released the song at midnight, and his fans are on cloud nine. The singer was recently eliminated from the singing competition and his fans were left disappointed but this did not discourage him at all.’My Yoki Yoki’ is OUT NOW guys!!!😭

Vhudi’s appearance on the show was a huge milestone as he got to record his song in studio “What a beautiful day recording my upcoming single #MyYokiYoki. This was my first time in studio. Thank you Jesus & everyone who’s working on this with me,” he captioned his post.

The singer recently got a shout out from Nigerian superstar Davido requesting him to DM him and Black Coffee also wanted to work with him.

Generations the Legacy actor Vuyo Dabula who plays the character of Gadaffi on the show, shocked many when he announced that he was exiting the soapie.

Dabula took some time to explain why he was leaving. He said he felt like he had reached his limit with the Generations production.

“I feel like I have learnt as much as I can on that level of performance. It’s time for me to go outside and try new things,” he added.

In addition to that, Vuyo explained that since he was one of the leading characters on the show, he spent most of his working hours in the studio. Being on a soapie means everything happens very fast and there is a big focus on quantity than quality.

There is no time to sit down a rethink or reset a theme. Vuyo said for him acting was about plotting, thinking and reworking scenes, something that is not found on a soapie.

Vuyo also said he was not afraid of taking risks thus why he was leaving Generations the Legacy. However he added that this was not the end of him being on the screens because he loves acting.
