This year’s Award ceremony will be a virtual one and it will be on the 15th of November.
MasterKG is nominated for Artist of the Year and Best Male Southern Africa artist at the Afrimma awards, with #Jerusalema ft Nomcebo Zikode nominated in the Collaboration, Video and Song of the Year categories.
What happens when a South African hit takes over the world and becomes a source of joy during a pandemic? This is the story of how Master KG’s Jerusalema made the world dance.
On 16 August 2020, South African finance minister Tito Mboweni became the latest person to try his hand at the global phenomenon. He joined the #JerusalemaChallenge, and shared his video dancing in his home. By the time Minister Mboweni joined the #JerusalemaChallenge the song had garnered 89 million views on Youtube, less than a year after its release.
Limpopo-born hitmaker Master KG, real name Kgoagelo Moagi, says when he started making music he just wanted to make people dance. He never imagined that he would be making the whole world dance. “I was happy to hear my music played at taverns or on radio … and I never imagined I would make money from it or be on TV.”
Jerusalema is not Master KG’s first big hit; he is a regular on South African charts. In 2018, he enjoyed huge success with his hit Skeleton Move, which was voted the 2018 SABC Summer Song of the Year (meaning it received the most public votes across the participating SABC stations). Skeleton Move also bagged him an Afrimma 2018 award for Best Electro and Dance and an Afrimma 2019 award for Best Male Southern Africa.

Mihlali seem to be in the spirit this morning following her post about “Prayer”.
The star is known to always give out positive vibes no matter the situation she is in.
However, she revealed in her recent post that prayer is always the best medicine in life and many of her fans agreed to her statement.

Vuyo is most famous for his role of Kumkani Phakade in the South African soap, Generations.
Vuyo also appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and he played the main role in the 2017 film Five Fingers for Marseilles.
South African model, actor and bodybuilder, Vuyo Dabula is adding another year today.

In her post, she shared how starting a family with her husband became a dream come true for her.
Dlamini went further to say she couldn’t have chosen a better man to be the father of her child even with the great loss they had in the past.
However, the loss she is talking about is the death of her brother who after being in ICU for several weeks.
According to report, Minnie’s brother, Khosini suffered from a brain aneurysm which led to his death.
Mr Jones would not have gotten a best birthday gift ever as they are expecting their first child.
It is really a double celebration for the couple as Minnie captioned her post:
“Starting a family with you Mr Jones is a dream come true and I couldn’t have chosen a better man to be the father of our child. Our family has suffered such a painful loss however, God has proven to us that with death, comes new life and we welcome this miracle wholeheartedly. Happy Birthday my love we’re having a baby. Best Bday present ever, I know lol”
