When it comes to success, not many want to put in the hard work to succeed. However, Tanasha Donna, a self-proclaimed independent artist with a small team is making moves. This is not to say that she is there yet, but this is bound to happen someday.

First of all, she is working with the best of the best in the music industry. Having had a string of successful collabos – from Diamond to Masauti – she is now charting into international waters. A few weeks ago, we reported that she has something cooking with Jamaican sensation Shenseea.

Well, we figured out that Shenseea is a big fan of Tanasha. In fact, the “Blessed” singer is following Tanasha on Instagram, and we’ve got proof:The path that Tanasha is on is bound to lead to massive success. My prediction is that with her special taste in brewing music, she is eyeing to ink an international recording deal. These deals bring in loads of cash, as someone can get up to Ksh. 500 million in a single album deal. This is called advance payment.
Her fandom is growing very fast. She has over 2.5 million Instagram followers and her music hits millions of views within weeks, thanks to her huge Tanzanian audience. In Kenya, artists are struggling to hit even 500k views. Tanasha, being unpredictable, can decide to do an international collabo, having learned from Diamond, who has worked with the likes of Omarion and Ne-Yo.

As if that’s not enough, Tanasha is getting international recognition, with her latest being an AFRIMMA award nomination. She will be battling against the likes of Nadia Mukami, Nandy, Sheebah Karungi, and Akothee.
Her fashion sense is impeccable, Tanasha can decide to actually nail a deal with an international brand. Such deals bring tonnes of cash, only if they are international. We do wish her all the best!

There is no denying the impact that Amapiano have had in the Mzansi music scene, with the fast pace that The Scorpion Kings are able to produce an album, it is no wonder the Yano’s have been dominating during the National lockdown.

So it isn’t surprising that international artists are also appreciating the music genre, the famous African-American rapper, Ludacris who holds Gabonese citizenship and has been known to enjoy South African music.
A few months ago, Ludacris posted a story where he and his kids where jamming to Prince KayBee’s Gugulethu featuring Indlovukazi, Supta and Afro Brotherz. The recognition definitely made Prince Kaybee’s day.

A few weeks ago Nasty C’s shared on his Instagram account, the famous African-American rapper and actor playing his much-loved song Black & White, featuring Ari Lennox. Nasty C even went as far as advising Ludacris to stream his full 20-track album.

In a recent Tweet, DJ Maphorisa thanks Ludacris for sharing his music and also goes on to tag Kabza De Small, Mas Musiq & Riky Rick, who are also featured on the piano hit “Mthande”. Ludacris is clearly enjoying the music while smoking on a cigar inside a jacuzzi.”If you can get him to drop a verse in one song u know he’d fuck it up too coz that man is hell versatile. Well done Madumane”, said one Tweep.

While other fans thought it was time for Amapiano to go international, especially because the music genre would fit well with Hispanic people from Chicago and Maphorisa is well established on the international music scene.

Another Tweep said, “Been waiting on y’all to bring amapiano here since January!!!!!!” under Maphorisa’s Tweet and also commented “Chicago needs that #amapiano sound. It really peaks interest in the Hispanics I work with.. Woza!!”

The local house music industry seems to be making a global impact during this lockdown, with Master KG’s Jerusalema being recognised by different groups of people across the world, Christiano Ronaldo and even Janet Jackson going on to tag Master KG twice on her Tweets.

Clearly The Scorpion Kings are missing out on making serious money overseas, given the comments section and maybe it’s time to take Amapiano to the world.

AFRIMMA 2020 is going to be an experience to remember, ever with a full weekend of activities lined up, from the welcome party, fashion show, meet and greet sessions, red carpet, award ceremony, music festival and the much-anticipated after-party.

This nomination will be added to the many achievements he has collected this year, from being recognised by Janet Jackson, two times to, having the number one Shazam song in the world and his song bringing positive change across the world.
