Batho ba Modimo ” (which can loosely be translated to God’s people) were the first three words that Michelle Mosalakae uttered on our small screens.

It was a Friday night about a year ago when the young actress made her television debut as the traditional healer Zakithi on the popular local telenovela-turned-soap-opera Isibaya, and she has captured our hearts and minds ever since. She was, understandably, quite nervous about how her character would be received by the public, she admits, but as the weeks went on, it became clear she had nothing to worry about.We’re sitting at a busy Joburg restaurant, chatting away.

I remember I prayed in my room and told God, ‘You gave me this child, and I’m giving her back to you to take care of her.

Presenter Ayanda Thabethe has left the city of gold and dashed to Cape Town and she has got that holiday glow.

Spring has sprung and travelling around Mzansi is finally allowed and many celebrities are taking the opportunity to explore the country and slay at the same time.

Ayanda took to Instagram to post a snap of herself that showed her toned body that is clearly ready for summer.

Ayanda captioned her picture “Finally feels like spring has sprung” and her followers couldn’t help but agree with her and made sure they let her know just how good her body looked in the comment section.

The former Top Billing presenter has always been open about her fitness and usually shows off her workouts and her eating plans that help her keep in shape.

When it comes to serving looks, Ayanda seems to know a thing or two and during the early stages of lockdown, when things were tough and everyone was forced to stay at home, Ayanda was serving looks from the comfort of her home.

Ayanda looks switch from sweats and figure-hugging dresses and whilst the looks are simple, they are still cute.

The stylish presenter is not the only Mzansi celebrity who is out and about and enjoying spring, actress Kgomotso Christopher and her family dashed off to
Drakensberg for a little family getaway.

Kgomotso and her family had a few days of reflection, rest and relaxation as they enjoyed the good weather in the Drakensberg.

The former Scandal actress also shared an image of her by the poolside that showed off her beautiful curves and had many wondering if she really was a mommy of two with her banging body.

We have seen how fans of celebrities take to extreme measures to profess their love or admiration of certain prominent people. Thanks to the age of social media, it does not take much for those extreme acts of admiration to reach the celebrity. Gospel star Benjamin Dube is the latest celeb to have a fan dedicate a tattoo to him.

Showing that she is a true fan of the veteran gospel musician, a woman got the words “The Tribe of Benjamin Dube” tattooed on the side of her neck.

Sharing the picture and in complete awe Benjamin Dube said “I couldn’t believe this. Tattooed: ‘Tribe of Benjamin Dube’. Wow, Zoleka!,” he commented.

Under the comment’s section where people who did not encourage such behavior because of the level of ‘obsession’ displayed by the fan. He was told not to applaud such as it comes of as idolatry and quoting bible verses to back up their point.

“As long she is happy it’s none of our concern. People have tattoos of Pop stars,no one is concerned.The righteous shall live by faith. You can bring all the scriptures to dispute what she did.If she lives by faith in God’s eyes she is righteous,” one commented.

Responding to the ‘backlash’ Benjamin Dube defended the woman by also quoting a bible verse, saying she will be saved whether tattooed or not.

“God tattooed us on the palm of His hand …Isaiah 44:5/49:16. Christ saves both tattooed and the clean. I’m not really moved by this, just surprised,” he said.

The gospel singer is just one of many to have their names or faces tattooed by fans. Kabza De Small also received the same kind of love from a fan who tatted his whole face on her arm.

The females extreme act of loyalty and support amazed him and has asked anyone who might know her to help contact her. The fan tatted Kabza’s album cover on her arm, I Am The King Of Amapiano: Sweet and Dust, which is his face wearing a crown.

The music producer was in awe and asked fans to tag her and said ‘he needs her’.

Lerato Kganyago has been one of the most vocal female celebrities who spoke openly about her troubles with fertility and helping other women a long the way. The star suffered two miscarriages when she was five months in and also suffered the loss of her friend and lover.

The internet is never a good space for the sensitive and weak at heart, however for Lerato Kganyago, she deals with the trolls head-on. Recently the radio personality shared pictures of her baecation with rumoured fiance, Thami Ndala, however she never confirmed nor denied the speculation.

Showing off her getaway with her significant other, LKG saw a lot of negative comments from trolls and slammed one who meddled in her business.

The troll instructed her to come back from her baecation pregnant. A comment which was deemed nasty by many of her followers, considering the fact that the it is public knowledge that Lerato suffers with fertility issues.

Clapping back at the troll, Lerato asked the tweep why her womb is any of his concern.

The feisty, yet now-deleted clapback was applauded by many however she got rid of it after her followers dragged her for paying attention to the negative people and ignoring the ones who wish her well.

Opening up about the ordeal, which happened five months into her pregnancy, she said: “I was admitted, and after the doctor did a scan she told me I had miscarried. I sat on the hospital bed numb. I called my mom and my ex, who both cried. I’m still healing. I’m not ready to have another child,” she said adding that she felt guilty and blamed herself for everything.

Lerato said she felt like less of a woman after the loss of her two children. “I have only spoken about the (most recent) one because it was the one that affected me the most. That was when I really wanted to have a child,” Lerato said in a 2017 interview on Real Talk. She underwent therapy to help her cope with the loss.

Despite her heartache, Lerato has not given up on one day becoming a mom. She says she has not ruled out adoption. Lerato used her social media platforms to educate people about adoption. She told her Twitter followers in 2017 that adoption is “not a white thing”.

Gospel singer and former Idols SA season 11 runner up Mmatema Moremi has decided to finally let her fans in on her relationship with husband Tshepo Gavu Moletlane, also known as, Mr G. In her YouTube video, she and her husband divulge more on their relationship.
