The Eau De Parfum is a poetic, modern fragrance created to express the perfect harmony of sensuality and strength is a first of its kind for Halo Heritage, a brand dedicated to creating luxury beauty ranges for Africans by Africans.

The fragrance is for all women who command attention and make an entrance when they walk into the room, playing into their duality of strong and sweet.

Ahead of the fragrance’s launch, ZAlebs caught up with the media personality to find out more about her latest venture that sees her stepping into new territory with the likes of Connie Ferguson, Gert-Johan Coetzee and Zodwa Wabantu.

For the bottle’s vibrant, multifaceted jewel shape and packaging, Boity felt that the colour turquoise perfectly encapsulated the serenity and sensuality that Pink Sapphire represents.

The colour turquoise is one that is the star’s favourite and one she has previously used when it comes to her business ventures, her toning supplements were also turquoise.

Boity Pink Sapphire has a personal touch of the star with a representation of a necklace she is always wearing. Boity explains that the necklace is something she is always wearing and literally is like an extension of her.

“We just thought felt like it would be a fun catch to the packaging to add such a personal touch of me,” says Boity.

For the fragrance, Boity and Halo Heritage worked with French perfumer, Emilie Bouge, who has over 22 years of experience in the art of perfumery.

Halo Heritage handled communication with Emilie, and they made sure to get Boity’s wishes across in terms of what she wanted the fragrance to smell like and the kind of feelings she wanted to evoke.

“I think them (Halo Heritage) communicating with Emile was perfect cause she knew exactly what to do and put together and what kind of notes and oil bases to put together in order to create what she felt is what I actually anticipating in terms of what I wanted it to smell like, “explains Boity.

When it came to deciding whether to work with Halo Heritage, Boity says it all started with the energy, as to her “energies speak much louder than the ideas that are put on the table.”

“The first thing was the energy was fantastic but more than anything it was about what Halo Heritage stands for, they are all about empowering African women, they all about celebrating African black women.”

Her followers want to know every bit of their faves’ private life including her love life that she keeps a mystery.

Boity has made mention of the fact that she is single and one can only imagine if she is ready to be out there. However, the rapper and businesswoman does have desires of getting married and starting her own family one day.

Taking to her social media she revealed to her fans how she would like her future hubby to propose to her.

Responding to a follower who detailed how she would want her proposal to go, Boity added her sentiments saying she’d even want to go as far as telling her husband the type of ring she wants.

“I never wanna tell my husband that I wanna get married. That I “want that ring”. I want him to wake up one day and decide he wants to propose to me, talk to my pops, buy that ring and propose…BY HIMSELF… not because I kept mentioning it,”

Boity then replied and said, “I’m going as far as sending him a picture of the exact ring I want. We can even share ideas on how he should propose.”Of course under her comment’s section were people insinuating that she is directing her tweet at Maps Maponyane.

Social media users have been trying to link the two together and have not succeeded. Their last plot at having the two to admit that they are in a romantic relationship failed dismally after creating a hastag suggesting that the two are engaged.

Maps responded with, “Y’all are ridiculous. Imagine you’re minding your own business, and logging on to find out you’re engaged!?”.

Boity did not comment on the hashtag, however she did share a tweet which showed a series of shocked and laughing emojis. Maps and Boity have been linked to one another for some time now, however they have both neither confirmed or denied their relationship.

Maponyane also featured in Boity’s reality TV show, Own Your Throne and the two seemed very cozy.

Adding fuel to the fire, Maps suggested that he has work to do at ‘winning’ Boity over after tweeting that she wants a rich husband. “Can’t wait for my husband to leave R100K on my dressing table for brunch with the girls,” she tweeted.

Fueling fans speculations of them being an item, Maps commented with a meme suggesting that he has some work to do.

Listeners can expect to hear about their individual journey’s in the music industry as well as the highs and lows they have faced.

“It’s a strictly hip-hop album with a kasi touch. On this album, we’re talking about our journey in the music industry. We’re also talking about the challenges and the highs and lows of the music industry. So far we have made 14 songs and we hope to make at least 20, but this doesn’t mean all of them will make onto this album,” explained Zakwe.

They have not given the album a title as yet but they expect to release it in November.

The album also aims at strengthening relationships between the two feuding recording labels Ambitiouz Entertainment and Mabala Noise. Zakwe says that the aim is to strengthen the working relations as the lack of collaborating has created beef between them

“It’s also important for me to clarify that this is a music project between Afrotainment and Mabala Noise. The intention is to strengthen our working relations. For a long time we haven’t been doing collaborations and this created a void between us. The reality is that we’ve missed each other and that’s why we are starting with these collaborations,” said Zakwe.

Zakwe told the publication that this album will be a game changer and all the songs have become a game changer.

“We should have done this a long time ago, but we were both committed. I’m glad we’ve finally managed to do this. For me this is the best hip-hop collaboration and I have no doubt it will take hip-hop to another level. The songs on this album are both educational and motivational. All the songs were written by us,” he told the publication.

A few days ago, the record labels have gone on a twar with each other bragging about the artists they have signed.

Their twar started when Ambitiouz Entertainment bragged about being the biggest recording company currently, because their artists are topping charts.

Reigning on their parade, Mabala Noise called them out for their ‘unnecessary bragging’ trolling them about being the cause of a cold Spring season.

Even though names were not mentioned, the two record labels felt attacked and a twar ensued. You know how the saying goes; If the shoe fits, wear it!

“You see this thing of people saying they are the number one record label in SA unprovoked? Now it’s a cold day in #Spring,” Mabala Noise said trolling AE.

Ambitiouz Entertainment then responded by saying their music is trash, “This happened because your music emits CO2 and contributes to climate change.”

Hopefully, the two artists will be able to bring the record companies together for the sake of peace.

Moonchild Sanelly Gets The Recognition She Deserves

Arguably one of South Africa’s most successful artists and very controversial because of her performances and sexually-liberated nature, Moonchild Sanelly is the Queen that she thinks she is.
She is easily recognisable with trademark electric blue braids and her unapologetic feminism about female desire in her music, this has helped her work with some of the best producers and musicians in Mzansi and in the world.

The lively star recently Tweeted what the United Kingdom newspapers are saying about her, under their #OneToWatch segment.

“The South African star, a favourite of Beyoncé, blends the Durban sound of Gqom with horny global beats.”

The “horny global beats” caught her fans by surprise and they even questioned what that actually means, Moonchild, however, understood exactly what meant. Her music has a lot of sexual innuendos and references to sex, on one of her new tracks “Where De Dee Kat” she can be heard whispering “penis penis penis” in her trademark sultry voice.

Moonchild is best-known for rapping in Gqom songs like “Midnight Starring” where she worked with DJ Tira and DJ Maphorisa, among others to produce one of Mzansi’s earliest Gqom hits. She has a song with The Scorpion Kings as well, on the Amapiano album called “Ur Sheetee”, which is also a Mzansi hit.

Her talents have attracted global superstars like Diplo, who shares a residency with Black Coffee in Las Vegas and Beyoncé. Queen Bey put Moonchild on her The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack, “My Power” last year and the song went on to appear in her globally anticipated short film Black Is King, together with other Mzansi celebrities like Trevor Stuurman, Nandi Madida, Connie Chiume, Busiswa, Nyaniso Dzedze and Warren Masemola.

If that wasn’t enough to put some respect on her name, her and Sho Madjozi mingled with some of the biggest stars in the world after being announced as part of the lineup for Bud X Miami. They joined a lineup with fellow South African designer and artist, Karabo Poppy and the three of them joined, according to the official press release for the event, “200 influential creatives from over 20 countries in a curated jam-packed itinerary of imaginative activations including being a king of music, art, fashion and sports together with electrifying live performances and unforgettable collaborations.”

It’s time to put some respect on this Queen’s name and with her forthcoming “Nüdes” EP, with her raunchy songs such as “Thunda Thighs” and Bashiri, she deserves all her flowers.
