House of Zwide’s Dorothy was Rhythm City’s director and also directed Muvhango

Brenda Mukwevho best known for her role as the troublesome Lufuno on Muvhango. She currently is taking o the role of Dorothy in House of Zwide.
Brenda has since moved up the ranks in the industry with directorial credits from ETV’s Rhythm City and a short film called, Moseto. This is after learning directing ropes during her term on Muvhango. There is still a lot more that we can look forward to from Brenda.
Brenda became the director of etv’s Rhythm City from 2013 until the drama series ended in 2021. After her exit from the show, Brenda focused on her work as a director for some time. She got to learn some directing ropes when she worked on Muvhango. She also landed a job as the Head Creative Director of Uzalo. Uzalo earned the most popular soapie by the public at the South African Film and Television Awards in 2018.

Tony Forbes, the father of slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, revealed that losing his son brought his family closer together.

 

 
TONY FORBES: ‘LOSING KIERNAN BROUGHT US CLOSER’
This year AKA bagged nine nominations at the SAMA 29 and won three awards. These awards were for Best Male Artist, Best Engineered Album, and Best Collaboration for his hit song Lemons (Lemonade) featuring Nasty C. The slain rapper’s parents collected the awards at the ceremony.

AKA was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on 10 February. He left behind parents Lynn and Tony Forbes, brother Steffan, daughter Kairo, “baby mama” DJ Zinhle and girlfriend Nadia Nakai.

Tony revealed that it has not been easy dealing with the death of a child but losing him has brought his family closer together.

“It’s still very difficult, emotionally. It’s still very much a rollercoaster. In some ways, it’s probably harder because time has moved on and things are supposed to become easier but it’s not. I still prefer to mix with people. I feel closer to Kiernan whenever someone stops and tells me a story about him,” he said to Tshisa Live.

“Losing Kiernan has brought us closer as a family. The thing about family is it’s not just about blood family, it’s also about his friends. I have gained sons and daughters,” he continued.

LYNN FORBES SHARES TOUCHING TEXT TO AKA
This comes after Lynn Forbes took to her Instagram Story to share a touching throwback text message she sent to her son in 2018 when she hiked Mount Kilimanjaro. In the text, Lynn let her son know she is safe after hiking to Africa’s highest peak.Back in 2018, Lynn was apart of the annual #Trek4Mandela team that climbed up the mountain to raise funds for sanitary pads for underprivileged girls.

“I had just turned 50 and this was such a spiritual climb for me. 3 days later, on Mandela Day I reached Uhuru Peal, the summit and hugest point on the African continent. Kilimanjaro taught me humility, patience and gratitude … she showed me how truly small I really am,” she wrote in July this year.

Taking to Instagram, Maphepha Ndama revealed that the two have been leaving separately. The news comes in the backdrop of Slindile Mkhize’s court case.

The 30-year-old was arrested and appeared before Alexandra Magistrate’s Court for fraud and money laundering. It is in the backdrop of her arrest their marriage woes came to light.

Against the rumours, unconfirmed reports have it that a statement has been released to clear the air. No doubt this is not the first the two have hogged headlines for the wrong reasons. A few months ago, it was reported that Shandile Shezi had dumped his wife.

A few months ago, ZiMoja reported that Sandile Shezi dumped his family in the eleventh hour after being embroiled in fraud allegations. Shezi went on to rubbish the claims that he was not on the run but was working on his political career.

WHO IS SLINDILE MKHIZE?
Many have been puzzled to learn that Shezi has a wife and kids. Over the years, he has managed to keep his private life under wraps. He has been with 30-year-old Slindile Mkhize for years.

Kaizer Chiefs star goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune impressed Mzansi as he joins his wife in cooking pap in the rural areas.

It was refreshing for most of his fans as they saw his other side.

After cooking, the couple took time to take pictures, and they even kissed to show their love.

Orlando Pirates have suspended Thembinkosi Lorch from all club activities until 12 December. The suspension comes in the backdrop of his court case against his ex-girlfriend, Fundiswa Mathithibala.

COURT SENTENCING
However, his sentence was suspended for five years on condition he was not found guilty of a similar offence during the same period. Against the sentence, he was ordered to pay a fine of R100 000.

The fine will be paid in instalments to a non-governmental organisation, People Opposing Women Abuse. No doubt his court sentence sparked a debate on social media, with many dragging the club into the mix.

WHEN WILL THEMBINKOSI LORCH RETURN FROM SUSPENSION?
Against his court sentencing, the club issued a statement revealing that the star has been suspended from all club activities until December. Part of the statement reads: “Having said, that the Club has removed Thembinkosi Lorch from all Club activities until December 12.”

The suspension will see Lorch missing two DStv Premier League games against Moroka Swallows and Richards Bay. Struggling Orlando Pirates will square off with Richards Bay on 25 November before hosting Swallows on 5 December.

No doubt, this will be the second time the talisman will be on the sidelines this season after missing the opening part of the campaign. Lorch has been out of play for months after a career-threatening injury and court woes.
