According to the Online SABC News platform, popular Setswana contemporary musician Kori Moraba has sadly passed away following his battle with complications arising from the Coronavirus infection. He died at the elderly age of 73.

Moraba who was famously known for being part of the we’ll-decorated Zion Christian Church (ZCC), was among a group of musicians who played a huge role in raising black people’s spirits at the height of Apartheid and racial segregation.

Some of the songs Kori Moraba and The Minerals produced, are ‘Maditaba’ and ‘Orata Mang’ which they performed live in the Netherlands in 1979.

Details regarding his memorial service and subsequently his funeral have not yet been confirmed.
