Sad: Uzalo set to lose another star to DSTV Telenovela

Ever since she hit the screens on one of South Africa’s most viewed shows, she was very rough around the edges, but we have grown accustomed to enjoying the marvelous talent that she is.Thuthuka Mthembu has recently took to her social media accounts to announce that she will be starring on the season 2 of the hit series eHostela. For those that do not know Thuthuka Mthembu; she goes by the name of Nonka on the SABC 1 soapie Uzalo. She is a young adult who tries by all means to help put food on the table; while at the same time she tries to navigate through the struggles of life in hopes to build herself a better future. What made many people panic upon her announcement is that she described this opportunity, as her dream “finally coming true”.

‘’ oh my god! My dream is finally coming true, catch me on eHostela tomorrow on Mzansi magic” she said.

any people read too much into what she said because, if she said that her dream was finally coming true; it meant that she was using Uzalo as a stepping stone and that as soon as she got her break; she would run. This is understandable considering the kind of backlash that Uzalo has been getting in recent months- plus it is not the first time that an actor from Uzalo ran for the hills and thrived on the dish.

We would like to wish Nonka a very big good luck on her new role, and hope that she aces it and does it justice.
