Gospel Star Israel Mosehla Passes On May his soul rest in peace

Post main imageIt is a sad day in South Africa as Gospel star Israel Mosehla passes on at 50 years old.

While the cause of death has not been confirmed, fans have taken to social media to pay their respects.


Eye Witness News cnfirmed that the soccer player lost his life during the early hours of Monday morning, 23 November 2020. A police officer told the publication that Anele lost his life on the scene and a case of culpable homicide has been opened.

“It’s alleged that this morning, at 5am, a vehicle with two occupants lost control and overturned on the N2 freeway near Mtunzini. A 33-year-old man was declared dead at the scene. The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for medical attention. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. A case of culpable homicide has been opened for investigation by Mtunzini SAPS.”

On 19 November, the country woke up to shocking news of the passing on Mshoza. The Kortez hitmaker was said to be living with Diabetes and she was diagnosed in 2014. Mshoza succumbed to the disease in the early hours of Thursday morning, at a Johannesburg hospital.

Announcing the death of Mshoza, her management confirmed she lost her life due to an illness. Sunday World Journalist, Nokuthula Zwane tweeted;

“According to a close friend, she had been rushed to hospital a few weeks ago but was later ‘discharged. Details of the cause of death is still unclear. The 37-year-old, mother of two had been ill and diagnosed with diabetes. ”

According to an official statement from her management, Mshoza dies in her sleep.

“It is with great sadness to announce the untimely death of Nomasonto “Mshoza” Maswanganyi. The Kortes hitmaker succumbed peacefully in the early hours of this (Thursday) morning. She was 37. She will be deeply missed as an ultimate entertainer who loved being on stage. Not only did she radiate star quality, Mshoza was a media darling.”

The two popular personalities were once smitten and inlove but many were quiet shocked to find out about their relationship. This was because Mshoza was fresh out of an abusive marriage, while Anele had just called it quits with his partner of nine years and mother of his child.

They spoke to Drum magazine about their union, with Mshoza saying Anele was the one for her and the soccer player saying respect is one of the key aspects that make him love Mshoza. Fast forward a few months later, they announced their split as the baby mama, Linda Racaza came back into the picture. Also, the Ayina Chorus hitmaker confessed that she was still madly inlove with her ex-husband Thuthukani Mvula.

Various publications including News 24, also allege that she miscarried Anele’s baby and it was caused by stress.

Amapiano singer Wakhe laid to rest

wakhe funeralPeople danced and celebrated during the funeral of the late amapiano singer Wakhe.

Family and friends danced as if it was a wedding day while it was a burial of one of their own Sello “Wakhe” Motsepe (48) died last week Sunday in Mmakau, North West.

He died after a short illness.

People said that Wakhe would have wanted a happy send-off as he was a man full of jokes and his community loved him and wanted to always associate with him.

Wakhe was buried at Tshwara Cemetery in Mmakau on Saturday.

People danced to his EP called Mpho Nthite which was launched last year November in Rama City in Tshwane.

They danced to his songs at home and at the Cemetery.They described him as a hard worker and a man who loved his children.

Her aunt Maria Motsepe (61) told Daily Sun that they celebrated his life, and it was special to him.

“Death is not a good thing we are hurt but whenever we think about him, we will play his songs,” she said.

Maria also said that Wakhe has left a space that no one will be able to fill.

Wakhe’s brother, Thomas Motsepe (47), said it will take time for him to recover.

“Listening to his songs, I feel like he will come and say Ntwana. A big tree has indeed fallen in this family,” he said.

Brother-in-law and Garankuwa FM presenter Kitso “Sir-G” Sekati described Wakhe as a humble person and full of love.

“He left a huge space, we lost an extra hand and was a community worker,” he said.

He said Wakhe was a straight talker and a community builder who would listen to community concerns and take them forward.

Friends and family also dance to the songs even at the gravesite.

Singer Sho Madjozi bags a role on Muvhango

Sho MadjoziAward-winning star Sho Madjozi is scheduled to make an appearance on Muvhango.

She will feature as a guest performer on the SABC2 soapie.

Her appearance will be aired on Thursday, 14 January.

Word Of Mouth CEO Mandla KaNozulu said he hoped having Sho Madjozi on their show would boost ratings and attract younger viewers.

“We’re happy that the singer graced the show with her musical presence. We hope her performance will be a memorable one for the viewers,” he said.

He said her appearance on the show marked one of many they will have.

“We will be featuring different art forms on the show, from musicians to dancers and visual artists to promote talent in the country. We want Muvhango to be known as the melting pot of talent in the country,” said KaNozulu.

John Vuli’gate reaches platinum status

Mapara A JazzMusial duo Mapara Jazz have reached a milestone. In just four months of its release, John Vuli’gate has reached platinum status. The song took Mzansi by storm last year when it went viral on social media and unleashed a dance craze, as well as a dance challenge across the African continent.

One of the members of the duo, Colano, told Daily Sun that they’re happy the song is doing well.

“We are delighted that John Vuli’gate has done so well. It started off as a song about opening the gate and letting the ladies into the yard so that we can have fun. But it has also come to represent hope in a hopeless world. It is our wish that in 2021 we all see opportunities opening up and our dreams coming true,” he said.

Lionel Jamela of OpenMic Productions said this is yet another testament that local music is in great hands and has a bright future.

Gossipy tidbits about her leaving Uzalo has be circumventing the web-based media since a year ago, 2020. The bits of gossip said she had a conflict with the administration of Uzalo.
