The South African star revealed that Dominique congratulated her over achievements made in the music industry, and how to be of help to artists in Africa.

“The 1st lady of Ivory Coast @dominiqueouattaraci invited me to the presidential office to welcome me to their beautiful country, to congratulate me for my achievements and discuss ways on how to improve the music industry and livelihoods of artists in Africa as a whole. Thank you for loving the arts madam,” the singer said.

This news was confirmed by his family.

The star died at the age of 44 in January 13 at the Olivedale Clinic in Johannesburg.

On the day of his death, many flooded the social media with condolences.

His family said in a statement that he, “always offered support, smiles and a hearty warming laugh to encourage those around him. His love for his family, work and community is evident. Everything he put his mind to he achieved with greatness and grace.”

The DJ leaves behind his wife Hlapo and his three girls, Senzi, Zandi and Zwelethu, as well as his two brothers, Bheki and Ayanda.

Nzimande, who is regarded as legend of the airwaves died on Friday morning due to a Covid-19 related illness.

The cause of his death was made known by his wife, Zandile Nzimande.

Nzimande was popularly known as Bhodloza or Ingulube Ncani.

He widely attained popularity both on television and radio when he presented shows such as Ezodumo on SABC1 and Sgiyangengoma on Ukhozi Fm.

He distinguished himself with his flair behind the microphone and his humour.

The deceased joined Ukhozi Fm in 1979, he later became a Station Manager he retired in 2010.

He was then appointed UIF Board Chairperson in 2013.
