Nomcebo Does Twitter Dirty With Masechaba Ndlovu Post Sis was clearly having a restful Saturday.

Post main imageNomcebo Zikode is currently still on the African leg of her world tour, but that does not mean that she does not have time to troll her South African fan base. The Xola Moya Wam” hit maker went from somber to jubilant and playful real quick via her social media posts. First it was announcing the sad passing of two of her loved ones, in what can be suspected as more causalities of the pandemic. While some of her fans thought she would spend the whole day mourning the tragic passing of her loved ones, the married mother of two was like, “Ha a. Don’t you dare.” In her subsequent post, Nomcebo proved that she is not only a continually rising star, but that she has her ear firmly placed down on all the South African tea that is spilt about her.

The “Jerusalema” vocalist decided to play on one of the running comparisons she gets of late. The star has been labelled as a look-a-like of controversial media personality, Masechaba Ndlovu. The two have been confused numerous times in the past. It might be their height or the matter of the two sharing the same signature hairstyle, which when giving credit where it is due was made iconic by Masechaba. So you can imagine the confusion when Nomcebo posted a picture suggesting that was having a peaceful Saturday, where she looked like Masechaba’s identical twin.On Twitter the most, people were confused and did not hide the matter. Many that commented on the post still believed that it was actually Nomcebo, and that for the first time it was unanimous that the two do look alike. To make matters worse, Nomcebo did not intervene to clarify what was going on. The continued confusion resulted in Masechaba’s name trending, and probably much to her relief it was not because she was being trolled for her one or the other inflammatory tweet, statement or actions.

Nandi Dragged Into Zakes Bantwini’s Controversial Tweet “A family of lies”

Post main image has come under fire for his tweet about COVID-19 deaths occurring as a result of the stage two load shedding. The muso blatantly said four close people who were hospitalized and put in ventilators have died because electricity was cut due to load shedding.

This did not sit well with many people because we can all assume that hospitals have back up generators, right? Well according to Zakes Bantwini these four people who sadly lost their lives, died due to their ventilators not working because of load shedding. He further said he worries about the many other people who might have passed on due to load shedding.

“I know at least 4 people who passed today, their ventilations stopped working because of load shedding. I wonder how many people lost their loved ones today because of load shedding, can we at least deal with one pandemic at a time please.”

Flooding his comments section were people who were in disbelief at how much a person of his caliber could potentially mislead people. @TboozeSA said, “Uyaxoka, Suxoka (you’re lying, stop lying) … hospitals have a backup generator and load shedding level 2 doesn’t impact hospitals.”

@gino_gavaza said, “U just decide to LIE unprovoked. Hospitals have backup generators. All these 4 people u know happened to be in ventilators????”

@kgomo389 commented, “I wished you mentioned the names of these hospitals which don’t have a backup generator. Ave uzekubopha uZweli Mkhize (Zweli Mkhize is going to arrest you.)

@Master_Sandz said. “Hospitals have back up generators that kick-in as soon as the power goes off. & I am talking like split seconds such that if u inside the hospital u won’t even notice that there was a power trip. So @ZakesBantwiniSA get ur facts right before misleading the nation.”

Many tried to defend him by saying it could be possible that these people used the ventilators at home, “I think he is referring to the ventilators in the parking Lot. Remember COVID patients use the temporary beds and ventilators at the parking Lot while they try and organise a bed within the hospital. I am talking from experience in a Netcare hospital. So he may not be lying.”Zakes defended himself by saying, “I accept that our realities are different, often times when ppl don’t understand/relate to something, they will label it as lies/absurd. No where did I mention the word hospital as that maybe be ur assumption/reality. Abantu bayafa bantu bakithi, asiyeke umdonsiswano ongathi shu (people are dying, lets stop dragging each other.)

Bontle Owned The Buss It Challenge The best to ever do it!

Post main imageThe Buss It Challenge has for the past few weeks that challenge dominated the social media streets. There is not a social media platform that you can go on that does not have the challenge as a trending topic. The challenge might have started oversees. But how can a challenge that celebrates the fullness of a woman’s body not be owned by Africans- specifically South Africans that gave what was essentially a dying challenge new life.

The first to own the challenge was YouTube fave, Naledi Mallela. The “Naledi M Official” YouTuber shook all the tables when she took on the challenge. Naledi not only managed to provide a fire take on the challenge, but she arguably gave our fave ZAlebs the allowance to know that participating in the challenge would not ruin their brand. On the contrary, it could boost your following and maybe encourage the DMs to flourish too. Naledi’s trending at number one was the best way for the good sis to start the year, considering the tumultuous year she had in 2020. First, was officially calling it quits with her toxic long-term boyfriend. Second, was Naledi pouring her blood, sweat and tears into her YouTube channel. However, not getting the recognition she deserves from the “industry,” despite earning the loyalty of her fanbase because of her consistency. And who could forget her little twar or I-war (Instagram war) with follower influencer and YouTuber, Kay Yarms. Hopefully, her trending proved to the “industry” that YouTube’s Fave is a bankable brand. Second to own the challenge- and arguably put it to rest for South Africans at least was Bontle Modiselle. What can be said about the mother of one and wife to fellow entertainer, Ricardo “Priddy Ugly” Moloi. Bontle’s Buss It Challenge was the star not only confirming, as she has done in the past, that her body is goals. But Bontle choosing violence as she managed to fit in three different outfit changes in less than ten seconds.
