Post main imageIt has confirmed, Muvhango and 7 de Laan will experience slight changes in programming according to the latest reports. For months there’s been speculation about the future of SABC 2’s flagship shows, Muvhango and 7 de Laan might be hanging by a thread. At the time, the show creator Duma Ndlovu was adamant that the show was not coming to an end and the people should be more worried about “the other show”- which was suggested as shade towards its competitor on the channel, 7 de Laan. Now, it seems that Ndlovu was wrong and right following the latest news reports. According to television and film insider, Phil Mphela the two soapies will face having reduced airing days. Starting from the month of August, Mphela reported that the two soapies will be reduced to three airing days a week, rather than the five-day special. The soapie will keep the same timeslots, but the only difference is the extent that that cheque is cut.

Nomzamo And Thuso Mbedu Raise The SA Flag High Stars make it as Essence’s “Black Hollywood Stars

Post main imageThere is Elon Musk, Charlize Theron, Trevor Noah, Nandi Mngoma and the list of South Africans that have cemented their names as internationally recognized stars is endless. Now we can add Thuso Mbedu and Nomzamo Mbatha. The two leading actors recently made the list of Essence’s 20 Young Black Hollywood stars To Watch. Thuso Mbedu made it as the 16th most promising black Hollywood star. The former eTV’s Scandal actress has been living her best life in the Americas, but that has not stopped her from still proving that home is South Ah. In celebrating Mbedu, the piece wrote that: Emmy-nominated Thuso Mbedu is one of the most compelling new faces on television. Her road to perdition began during her teenage years on drama series like Snake Park and Scandal. The sky’s the limit for the early-20-year-old and Mbedu’s reaching for higher heights. She’s set to make her international debut in Barry Jenkins’ “The Underground Railroad,” which is based on the Colson Whitehead novel of the same name. There’s no doubt that this young phenom will be a force to headline marquee posters in the near future.”Now, what can be said about Nomzamo that has not been said before. The star not only made the list beating out names like Chloe x Halle- and Mbedu too- to nab the ninth spot on the list. Considering that the good sis has yet to even show up and show off in actual US film or television program, the feat is amazing. Nomzamo Mbatha knows no bounds or limitations. While filming Isibaya, she spent time touring Kenyan refugee camps in her role as an UNHCR Ambassador. It is that level of care and commitment that has made her a sought after star in projects like “Tell Me Sweet Something” and “The Jakes Are Missing.” In 2015, she became the first South African to represent Neutrogena and signed a talent management deal with CAA (Creative Artists Agency). Up next, Mbatha will be starring with Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall in “Coming 2 America” in a role that’s described as being “kept under lock and key.

Sizwe Dhlomo’s Massive Pool! It looks more like an ocean

Post main imageSizwe Dhlomo’s wealth has always fascinated many of his followers. After teasing his farms through social media, the man recently gave his audience a broader view of one of his farms and it’s left many speechless. Check it out below.Sizwe also has a massive pool he often teases on social media. The pool is one of the biggest we’ve seen from our local celebs.

Sizwe Dhlomo recently ruffled some feathers on Twitter. The man tweeted about bringing out his entire fleet of cars after he was impressed by a guy who washed his ride extremely well. He also asked his flowers if they ever had a fleet and the tweet didn’t sit well with most as they saw it as bragging from the Kaya FM DJ.
You ever had a dude wash your whip so well, you want to go home & get the rest of the fleet? Okay, first of all, you ever had a fleet? Lol!

— Sizwe Dhlomo (@SizweDhlomo) December 20, 2020

On 30 October 2020, after he unintentionally made a bad joke, which a fan categorised as a “dad joke”. Taking the insult like a jump, the radio host explained that he has a catalogue of Dad jokes at his disposal, and he wasn’t afraid to pull them out at any given moment. The conversation then turned to Tweeps complimenting him by saying that they could see him being a good father one day and that seeing as though he will soon be 40-years-old, he should probably be thinking about starting a family. One follower went as far as questioning him about his timeline and claimed that his biological clock was ticking. Sizwe responded with, “Personally, I’m alright with that. What you may want to ask yourself though, is why you’re so concerned with matters of my nuts.”

Sizwe being Sizwe, didn’t leave it there, he went on to express his views on having children and bluntly stated that there was no point in having kids. He tweeted, “If we’re being honest, there’s no good reason to have kid. I’m not saying it’s wrong or shouldn’t be done, kodwa ayikho i-need. Waar!”. Fans tried him to persuade him to think differently, and felt that if he had a child, perhaps his views would change. The start went on to clarify that although he might have kids in the future, he stands by his opinion which is… there is no good reason. He said, “Nobody said they don’t bring joy to your life & grow you as a person. My sister has twins for example & I love them dearly, I’m so glad she had them. I also will have kids. I’m just saying there’s no good reason though. I will after I get married. I was just saying if we were to justify it logically, kuyabheda.”

The comments began escalating quickly, with many accusing him of being a disappointment to his fans, as his tweets suggested the people should merely not have children. Some suggested that knowing Sizwe, he would soon tell his followers to sue their parents for having them, as they didn’t ask to be born. He then posed a question, “Well, since you brought that up… If you were asked before being born if you wanted to come here & they outlined everything you’d face as well as the circumstances you’d be born under. How would you have answered?”.
