How Pearl Thusi Helped The Bala’s When They Were Homeless She does have a good heart after all

Post main imagePearl Thusi does seem to have a heart of Gold after all! The talented actress, TV presenter and musician extended a helping hand to expectant family The Bala’s during a time of need.

The Coronavirus pandemic has hit many people’s livelihoods very hard and affected their income even harder. This was the same for the Bala family but they had an angel at their disposal.

Speaking to News24, Jennifer Bala, wife to popular music sensation Loyiso Bala, opened up about how they were left homeless for four months because of the pandemic. Jennifer was growing her career as her hubby’s manager but because they worked in the entertainment industry, all that came to an abrupt halt as the virus continued to affect people all over the country. She told the publication that they had lost a lot of money, that they could not even keep a roof over their heads.

She said before the pandemic they were looking into renting a new house however because they had no income, they lost out on it. They had tried to make arrangements with the landlord but that failed. After losing all hope, Pearl Thusi came to the rescue and offered a place to stay for the family of four – but soon to be five. Pearl switched houses and moved to her new Johannesburg home, leaving her house in Morningside empty. That’s when the Bala’s released a huge sigh of relief because Pearl offered them a place to stay until they got back on their feet. “Pearl and I are really good friends. We stayed there for four months. We were blessed to be in that situation,” she told the publication. “Blessed that Pearl is such a good friend.”

After they grappled to find a bit of cash, they managed to find a new home convenient for them as their children’s schools are closer.

Another reason why they are overjoyed is that they will soon become a family of five. Taking to Instagram, she detailed how she struggled to deal with the miscarriage she suffered last year at eight weeks.

“Our miracle baby – the fact that God blessed us with new life in the midst of devastation where people around us are losing loved ones by the dozen, is not lost on me; I’m extremely grateful.

“Falling pregnant has never been easy for me, but that’s a story for another day. I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, a vitamin D3 deficiency, internal inflammation, also around my heart, extreme hormone imbalances and high cortisol levels, just weeks before I fell pregnant naturally, so it’s an absolute miracle! Moreso at my ripe young age,” she wrote. She then continued by saying she had to change her medication to natural herbs and change her lifestyle, “I had embarked on a journey to balance all of those things out using natural based meds, lifestyle changes and celery juicing and voila! Before I knew it, we received our blessing amidst considerable instability and financial uncertainty during the pandemic.

“This little person is due exactly a week after the little one we lost in Dec 2019, who was due a day after my birthday. This one is due a week after my birthday and given previous complications, I will have to have a c-section, which means a week before and that is the EXACT date the other baby was due. If that’s not God’s plan of restoration, then I don’t know. There is a lot more to this story, but will leave that also for another day.”

Pearl Thusi Dumped By Fan Pearl Thusi can’t seem to catch a break

Post main imagePearl Thusi might seem like she is one of the most disliked celebrities in Mzansi. The hate she has been getting is unlikely to stop anytime soon.

The actress who is prone to dragging people’s parents in her clap backs is being dragged left right and centre. A fan even went as far as “dumping” her because of her controversial ways. a Netflix spokesperson confirmed that the drama series which stars Pearl Thusi as the lead actress will not be renewed for a second season:

“We’ve made the difficult decision not to move forward with season 2 of Queen Sono. We are incredibly proud of the Diprente team for sharing their audacious vision and bringing it to life with Netlflix. A huge thank you to our fans across the world for the love shared for our first African Original series. Netflix is also grateful to the amazing efforts shown by the cast and crew for their stellar efforts in creating this show for our members around the world. We’ll continue to work closely with South Africa’s creative industry to keep producing more compelling ‘Made-in-South Africa’ stories.” said a Netflix Spokesperson.

The director of the series Kagiso says they had written a great storyline but it was difficult to bring it to life. “We wrote a beautiful story that spanned the continent but unfortunately could not be executed in these current trying times,” said Kagiso Lediga, Director (Diprente).

The series starred Mama Panther, Vuyo Dabula, Loyiso Madinga and Abigail Kubeka, the show received impressive reviews from Mzansi and the international scene. Now that it has dawned upon many of her fans that there really is no Queen Sono season 2, they have taken the necessary steps to change Netflix’s mind.

A disgruntled Pearl took to twitter to announce to her followers that a petition had been started by one of her fans to bring back the action series back to life, “BRING BACK QUEEN SONO PETITION HERE!”

The petition was started by a fan who says the series needs to come back, “Queen Sono deserves a reversible decision on its recent cancellation. Please reconsider your decision, many loyal fans were supporting this SA classic, there was more story for sure. #SaveQueenSono.”

The petition aims to gain 1 500 signatures but is currently sitting at 1 422 signatures.

Pearl is currently enjoying an international trip but revealed it is for work purposes. She is very excited for this next career move and has promised that it will be epic.

Letoya Makhene’s Wife Does Not Believe In Her Calling She loves her regardless

Post main imageLebo Keswa and Letoya Makhene recently got married in a lavish traditional wedding. Lebo has taken it one step further to change her surname for love. Her new Instagram handle is Lebo Makhene P!

Although the pair are madly in love with each other, they do not share certain beliefs. Letoya is a sangoma and Lebo does not believe in her calling but respects her. We guess the most important thing in a relationship is respect. You can agree to disagree but you can’t disrespect and have things work out.In a Facebook interaction earlier this year by Linda Ande Yende where she posed the question: “What made you believe that witchcraft truly exists?”, Lebo responded that “ Ai Nna I still do not believe in witchcraft.”

A follower by the name of Neo Phepheng commented on Lebo’s response and said “they can bewitch you not to believe that it does exists and then ba go nyese freely”.

Lebo then laughingly responded “Ke jola le le sangoma, o Tla ba loya.”

Neo then said “then it means ga o dumele gore mothu wa gago wa fodisa” meaning (it means you do not believe that your person has healing powers).

Lebo responded by saying “ Bathong Neo, I support everything she does but I don’t have to have the same beliefs as her.” See the Facebook post here.Lebo is right and has clearly mastered the Dos and Don’ts of relationships. She knows that she cannot change Letoya for who and what she is but she loves her the way she is.

The homosexual couple took their romance to the next level after the businesswoman proposed to Letoya in October. Lebo got down on one knee after a hot air balloon ride when they landed. “Letoya, will you marry me?” read a poster printed in big, bold, white letters. Letoya struggled to fight back tears as she said, “yes!”. Their wedding took place this month at Moletsane Sports Complex and it was attended by those who are close to the couple. The festivities kicked off at Letoya’s home in Soweto where they held a ceremony in preparation for the traditional wedding for their ancestors to bled the union.
