Cassper talks about Social Media standards following his recent joke

Cassper Nyovest has taken to his social media to make it known that he won’t follow social media standards while defending himself for a joke he made on a friend’s Instagram post.In a recent post, the renowned musician stated that he is unstoppable when he is fully focused.

However, Cassper was dragged by some trolls who went on Instagram and found the comment he made on his friend and entrepreneur Nsovo M’s timeline.

Responding to one of Nsovo’s posts, Cassper jokingly asked Nsovo why the birthday message he sent showed only one tick. Cass proceeded to ask the guy if he had blocked him and forgot to mention it.

Nsovo on the other hand replied that he had been forced to change his numbers and the one Cassper already had isn’t working again.

Nsovo then promised to get in touch with Cassper and that’s where the conversation ended.

Thinking that was all, a tweep decided to expand the situation by screen grabbing the brief convo and posted it on Twitter with the intention to drag Cassper

“Imagine seeing your man comment such on another man’s post,” said another tweep.

Many felt there was nothing wrong with what Cassper said.
The replies piled up and eventually caught Cassper’s attention. When the Tito Mboweni hitmaker came across the tweet, he simply asked why he wasn’t allowed to joke with his friends.

“Ya’ll don’t joke with your friends? Damn!”

The rapper then made it clear he was not about the “social media standards” life and had no intention on fitting into the “savage” category.

“Yoh! Social media standards. So we must all aim to be savage nje? That’s the new cool? Could never be me!”

TV presenter and Idols winner, Khaya Mthethwa is accused of being a tribalist

Post main imageWhile his question rubbed people off the wrong way, others found his question to be completely innocent and relevant.

Mthethwa is not the first to be accused of tribalism as Idols judge, Unathi Nkayi also got into hot waters last year when she congratulated then, Xhosa Idols winner, Luyolo of carrying the whole nation because of his tribe on the singing competition.

The radio host stated on the show: “On behalf of the Xhosa people, we are tired of holding up the nation.” She was then reported to the BCCSA over her “tribalistic comments” that she made on the show and was cleared by the commission after they found that the media personality didn’t incite any hatred or harm in her comments.

“I think he is sarcastically saying the president speech Bored him, Zuma would have done better especially considering that Silili is not Zulu. There is an absolute tribalistic undertone in his question.

“Even racist don’t feel or admit that their statements are racist, they always find way to justify it.”

“At Mandela’s funeral would it be wrong if then President Zuma asked Thabo Mbeki to do the Eulogy since Qunu people were Xhosa speakers? Tribalistic statements.”I’m interested in finding out what prompted this question sir. Imagine is the same was said during Mandela funeral that TM should have been asked to eulogise him. However, I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt that you might have a reason beyond good enough to suggest that…”

“I also had the same sentiments that the Eulogy would of been more heart warming for us as a Zulu nation had JZ did it because his choice of words would of been on point and he would of delivered it in IsiZulu..
