Kwezi Ndlovu has announced she is expecting a baby boy.

The actress hosted a brown and white themed baby shower in November where she revealed the gender of her unborn baby by cutting her cake. Taking to her Instagram timeline Kwezi shared a clip from the celebration attended by her family members and close friends including actress Linda Mtoba and Brenda Mhlongo.


 

“Warning: Gender reveal may cause excessive happiness and baby fever. Proceed with caution. A special thank you to the dream team Ndumiso Mncwabe and The Creativity Lab for making this day so precious for my family and I,” she captioned the post. In early November Kwezi’s timeline was flooded with congratulatory messages when she announced her pregnancy on social media.

The actress, who won Best Newcomer at the Darling Exceptional Woman’s Awards in 2018, shared a cute video of herself at the beach rubbing her baby bump with the caption: “Coming 2024.”

While in Mauritius, Kwezi shared images of her full-grown belly.

In the post, Kwezi also shared an image of her holding the hand of her man, and while fans might be curious to know who the father is, she has decided not to reveal details about her relationship yet.

BREAKING | World-acclaimed legend, Mbongeni Ngema dies

South African playwright and musician, Mbongeni Ngema has passed away on Wednesday evening. He was 68.

Ngema died in while returning from attending a funeral in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape.

He was a passenger in the vehicle.


The news of his passing was confirmed by Ngema family spokesperson Abbey Makoe.

Ngema was best known for his award-winning works which include Sarafina and Woza Albert.

Ngema leaves behind a legacy that resonates with the spirit of resistance during the challenging times of apartheid and the liberation struggle. Renowned for his award-winning works, including iconic pieces like “Sarafina” and “Woza Albert,” Ngema’s contributions to the arts were not only prolific but also influential.

World-acclaimed legend, Mbongeni Ngema diesHe was also one of the vocal arrangers for Disney’s animated film, The Lion King.

His family also confirmed his death via a statement.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother, father, husband and a patriot, Mbongeni Ngema.

“Ngema was killed in a head-on car accident whilst returning from attending a funeral in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape this evening,” they wrote.

The family said they would share details about the funeral arrangement in the coming days.

“The Ngema family, colleagues and friends are deeply devastated about Ngema’s passing. The family will share further details about the funeral arrangements in due course,” they continued.
