Only 5 in SA ‘ – BMW Alpina B3 limited edition spotted in Pietermaritzburg

In December 2023, five new BMW Alpina B3 made their way to South Africa as part of BMW South Africa celebrations. It is best known as the BMW Alpina B3 50 Years of BMW South Africa Edition.

Only five were ever made, and the B3 takes inspiration from the iconic 333i, a product of the BMW Alpina collaboration in the 1980s. However, of interest is that only 200 units were ever made, making the 333i an exclusive line with the automobile.

Social media was abuzz after one of the five ever-made BMW B3s was spotted in Pietermaritzburg.The car was seen parked outside a BMW dealership. The photos have undoubtedly gained thousands of comments and reactions since they dropped on the internet.

The BMW B3 has “celebratory touches,” including black merino leather seats showcasing the BMW Group South Africa 50th anniversary logo embroidered in the headrests.

Furthermore, each B3 gets a plaque on the centre console that reads “50 Years an Icon, BMW South Africa, ” confirming it as one of the five special-edition models out in the wild.

A video of the South African rapper Focalistic – real name Lethabo Sebetso has seemingly become a big topic on X (the social media platform previously known as Twitter). This comes after it was circulated on the platform, leaving several social media users divided in the comment section.

EDUCATION IS KEY: FOCALISTIC’S GRADUATION VIDEO TRENDS
The 27-year-old rapper has made a huge name for himself in the music industry with hits like Khekheleza, Wena My Dali, Banyana Ke Bafanba, and more. According to Fakaza News, during an interview with Riky Rick on LAB LIVE in 2020, he shared that he had graduated with a degree from the University of Pretoria, where he studied Political Science.

Taking to the comment section, a large number of social media users couldn’t help but state that Focalistic’s degree is useless in South Africa, especially without connections in the industry. Meanwhile, others congratulated the rapper and voiced that there is no such thing as a “useless degree”.“Doing a political degree but you not interested in politics. He is in music, he should have done something under musical career,” @SfisoMemela wrote.

“You need to have political connections to get a job after obtaining this degree,” @ Lethabo4991 commented.

RIP: Phalaphala FM presenter Rofhiwa ‘Rampsie’ Rampfumedzi dies

ROFHIWA ‘RAMPSIE’ RAMPFUMEDZI DIES
The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has confirmed the passing of Phalaphala FM sportscaster Rofhiwa “Rampsie” Rampfumedzi.

Zimoja reports that the Limpopo-based radio station reveals that Rampfumedzi, who presented sports show Zwa Mitambo passed away after a short illness.


 

“It is with heavy hearts the passing of its presenter, Rofhiwa Rampfumedzi, who passed away on Sunday 7 January 2024, after a short illness. Rofhiwa joined Phalaphala FM as a music compiler and then presented Zwa Mitambo, a sports show that broadcasts on Mondays to Fridays from 19h00 to 20h00 until his untimely passing,” said the SABC.

Limpopo combo business manager Madikana Matjila told Bizcommunity in a statement that they are all hurt by Rofhiwa’s passing and wish to send their heartfelt condolences to the family and all the Phalaphala FM listeners.

“To our sports lovers Rofhiwa delivered with passion sports show. Lastly, we wish to thank all our listeners for sending us their messages of support during this challenging time,” added Matjila.

Fans are so excited that the talented actor Senzo Radebe joins Isitha the Enemy.

Entertainment commentator, Jabu Macdonald reports that Entangled and Gomora star Senzo Radebe has secured a role in Black Brain production, Isitha: The Enemy.

TVSA reports that Isitha: The Enemy received over 3.7 million viewers in October compared to 3.1 million viewers in September.


 

The award-winning actor also stars in 1Magic’s dramedy, Entangled as Reggie alongside award-winning comedian-actor Mpho Popps and award-winning actress Didie Makobane.

“Entangled is a ground-breaking and edgy show that we’re excited to share with our premium and compact plus viewers. As 1Magic, we’re proud to contribute and create content that is interesting, lively, real and shifts mindsets.
