Former Generations The legacy actress, Thuli Phongolo has broken her silence after the reports that she was fired from the TV series on Showmax, The Wife.

With all the rumours and reports, Phongolo has enlightened that her character Lerato was cut off.

Thuli’s management has since issued out a statement detailing why she had to be cut off the show.

 

They first started to thank the Showmax for the opportunity of granting Thuli and stated that the portrayal of Lerato and working with the cast brought her immense joy and an indelible contribution to her growth career as an actor.

They then refuted the claims that have been spread on the media about the reason why Thuli was fired.

Her management stated that it was a mutual decision between the producers and the Thuli to part ways after it was discovered that the production schedule for continued filming were unsuitable for all parties involved.

Nomsa Buthelezi Biography
Nomsa Buthelezi-Shezi is a South African actress and television personality and one of the open members of the South African LGBTQ community in the Rainbow Nation.

Born in the Gauteng, Nomsa knew quite early that she was different – attracted to fellow women. She was fortunate to have parents who encouraged her to express herself without minding what people will think about her sexuality.

Career
Before entering to television, she had a 17 long career in theatre. In 2008, she played the role of a female “Metro police officer” in the Vodacom “Summer Loving” commercial until 2009.

In 2011, she joined with the SABC1 sitcom Abo Mzala and played the role “Thandi” until the end of third season. She later won the award for the Best Supporting Actress in TV Comedy category at the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA).

Then in 2013, she appeared in the Mzansi Magic sitcom Samsokolo with the role “Dudu”. In the following year, she acted in the Vuzu sitcom Check Coast. Then she played the role “Awelani” in the soapie Muvhango.

On 17 December Andile’s family went to Tamia’s home to pay lobola. The paying of lobola meant she became Andile’s wife traditionally. The lobola negotiations were done traditionally Tania was covered in a blanket and Andile Mpsane’s family paid the money to form a union relationship between his family and the Louw’s.

After the ceremony, Tamia was taken to his marital home the LaLucia mansion. Tamia spent a lot of time bonding with her mother on the day.

However pictures we’ve seen from the wedding are those from the mansion; when Tamia changed from her traditional green attire to a leopard print traditional attire, Andile asked her to marry him, and she said yes; Tamia took various pictures with her new family members, this including the famous influencer who is also Andile’s sister Sibahle Mpisane.

Before Tamia changed her surname to Mpisane, she was Tamia Louw. She comes from a Zulu family with Coloured roots.

Lady Du broke off her engagement with the former Isibaya actor Andile Maxakaza. In her announcement to her fans, she asked people not to ask her many questions about it, and she would like her peace. Rumors circulated that the Woza hit singer left her actor fiance over his financial constraints. Andile Maxakaza told fans his engagement with Dudu ended due to witchcraft.

After the break-up, she’s expressed how she feels a weight has been lifted off her shoulders. It’s not just her Umlando dance challenge that’s proved to fans that she’s okay but her posts in general. The challenge saw people dance using different locations. All you have to do is turn your back to the camera, move your waist side to side, and then do that everywhere you think you can stand firm.

Some have been dancing on top of tables in the mall, in the bush at work at school, hanging on to something.

Response

Young and old have responded well to this challenge. Some felt that women were twerking instead of doing Umlando, which made them say it’s better if men only do the challenge. Even the soapie Uzalo posted how their crew moves to this beat on their social pages.

Challenges

Challenges have helped launch a lot of songs and events and new dance styles in social media and these guys saw an opportunity to market their music through a dance challenge, and it worked. It creates anticipation and hype around the product, and if done right, you get the numbers.
