Zola 7’s wife says no more handouts until muso goes to rehab

Struggling Kwaito musician Zola 7’s wife has asked people to stop giving him handouts until he goes to rehab.

The musician hit front page headlines after it was revealed that he has been struggling financially.

Many South Africans felt heartbroken by the turn of events and pledged to assist him financially.

Gauteng MEC for finance and e-government Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko then set up a much-publicised campaign to find ways of helping the icon.

But his wife has poured cold water on the pledges saying Zola 7 needed a long term solution and that the solution was rehab.

“Zola 7’s family has not yet decided whether he should go to rehab. This was informed by many other things including the argument over which banking details the public should use to help him financially. That is why the MEC decided to wait until their differences have been resolved,” the source said.

Zola 7 was not available for comment on the issue.

Anele Mdoda recently shook the social media platform Twitter. Anele surprised many people when she posted a message on twitter in which she claimed not to have done her own laundry in over two decades.

As odd it might sound but the truth is many proffessionals out there don’t have time to do little things that we ordinary dudes have time to do.

@Kolopoki: Washing your own underwear is called laundry too. Either she doesn’t wear it or the housekeeper does it for her.

@Thatonzi: You’ll be fine. Just locate a metallic or white box, some have openings in the front, some on the top, add a bit of razzle dazzle and hit start.

@TUMITML: They will get at you like they did @Shimza01 😂😂😂with socks and undies.

Kelly Khumalo has been through the worst

Singer Kelly Khumalo’s decision to have advocate Magdalene Moonsamy on a watching brief at the murder trial of late soccer great Senzo Meyiwa has tongues wagging, but Moonsamy hit back, saying Khumalo had nothing to hide.

“Kelly is doing great but she has been waiting for the trial to start and end so she can finally move on with her life. She has been under so much persecution, apart from having to continue to mother and nurture her family,” said her lawyer.

The advocate placed herself on record before Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela on Monday in the Gauteng High Court, saying she represented Khumalo.

Moonsamy told the Sunday Independent’s sister paper, Sunday Tribune, that she was not privy to dockets or other case related documents, but that her responsibility was to ensure that procedure was being followed to the letter.

“You would know that my client has been through the court of public opinion, she has been humiliated, called names and has been through the worst. This instruction from her is not only to protect what goes on in court but we are able to make submissions to the court if there are any further delays,” she said.

“These delays will cause prejudice to our client, witnesses and society. In actual fact, as a watch brief you get privy to a certain point.”

Moonsamy, a former EFF treasurer-general, dismissed the notion that Khumalo was fearful of being implicated.

“If there is such, let me place this on a very firm record that such must be dismissed in the minds and thoughts of any level-headed and reasonable South Africans,” Moonsamy said.

“In any event, every individual has the right to legal representation. My watching brief is because of the experience that my client has undergone and also because it has been accepted by the lordship, the defence as well as the State.”

It is not yet clear whether Khumalo will take the witness stand at the murder trial. This will be determined by the plea hearings.

Once they have been completed, Khumalo will know if she will be giving testimony.

The case was again postponed on Tuesday after the defence argued that it was not given enough time to prepare.

However, Justice Maumela said it would be the last time that he would consider applications for postponements.

BU and other Big Brother Mzansi housemates visited the Biggie’s house this weekend

BU and other housemates have taken their time to pay another visit to their Big Brother house. The tour around the house was very emotional because they have so many memories. BU was with Acacia, Sis Tamara, Nale, Themba and others.

Nale says the spot she remembers the most is where she used to smoke in the house. Nale seemed to be enjoying being the house once more as she was taking a video of the house outside and trust there lot of things that has changed.

Dinky was also in the house, Dinky was the first female housemate to be evicted. She does not have much memories of the house but getting back to house meant a lot to her. She also got reunited with other housemates to share their memories with the people who they are with in the house.

From what I am seeing, I think Biggie removed some of the furniture because really looked so empty. These housemates has the fun in the house because they are only sharing the beautiful moments.

Teko Modise was also there with them to enjoy the time with their fans in the house. Teko Modise is a soccer legend and being there with thw housemates means a lot because some of them wanted to him. Big Brother does not atop surprising these former housemates when they come to his house.

There is nothing much that they did in the house with their fans. They took a lot of photos and shared their memories too.
