On December 14, 2020, Benedict Saul “Beni” McCarthy, a South African coach and former soccer player, was named Head Coach of the Durban-based Amazulu Football Club of the PSL. McCarthy has scored 31 goals for the South African national team, the most in its history. On November 12, 1977, he was born in Cape Town, South Africa.

Is this justice served? Whatever it may be called , it can be confirmed that a man who allegedly poisoned his three sons to death has also died.The Sowetan news confirmed that the man who is from Heidelberg, who made headlines when he allegedly poisoned his four sons , killing three had been in hospital.

 

Colonel Brenda Muridili reportedly confirmed the death of the 39 year old man on Sunday . He was reported to have taken his last breath on Friday .The man got hospitalized after he was found unconscious in his home having tried to take away his own life following the alleged poisoning of his own children. He had reportedly tried to end his life by poisoning himself , stabbing his thighs and hands.He had even reportedly tried to slit his own throat. His wish finally came true on Friday when he died . The cause of death was not made known , but what was confirmed was that he died on Friday. The man also poisoned the dog , which was found dead on the day the children got poisoned to death.Two of the children died at school , while the third one died on the way to hospital.

A family member who managed to speak to the alleged killer father said that the suspect regreted what he did .He reportedly told relatives that he did not know what got into him to poison his own children. At the time of his death , he was under police guard where he was facing three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. Whether it is justice that was indirectly served for the killing of his children or not , what he did to the three innocent lives will never be forgotten and forgiven.Lives were cut short as a result of selfish desires. May the souls of the three boys rest in peace.

• Ntombi Khumalo [Kelly Khumalo’s mother].

• Zandi Khumalo.

• Tumelo Madlala [ Senzo Meyiwa childhood friend].

• Mthokozisi Thwala [Senzo Meyiwa friend].

• Maggie Phiri [Ntombi Khumalo’s neighbour].

The court is set to hear the defence plan regarding a second docket in the murder case of Meyiwa. Finally eight years later – the trial is underway however, the defence believes that the people standing trial are the wrong suspects.

When the proceedings were postponed on Friday, the lawyer of the fifth suspect addressed the court on a second docket on the murder of the soccer star. In the second docket it claims that Kelly Khumalo, her mother Ntombi, her sister Gladness, daughter Zandi, her then boyfriend Longwe Twala and a neighbour are being accused of cleaning up the crime scene before the police arrived.
