Former principal Thobakgale finds love

Jacobeth Thobakgale, the previous principal of Turfloop High School, is about to experience love for the first time since the show’s commencement, and viewers of the educational soap opera will be thrilled to see this development.

In point of fact, this will be the very first time that we see Elizabeth Serunye’s character involved with a man in any kind of romantic relationship… or even going on a date.

Former principal Thobakgale finds love

We have never met or been introduced to Lizzy’s dad on the show, despite the fact that she already has a child through a previous relationship, Dr. Elizabeth Thobakgale. Therefore, I have never witnessed her in a romantic partnership.

The teasers don’t reveal much about the man in question, other than the fact that he is a newcomer to Turfloop and someone who will cause her to remember feelings she hasn’t had in a very long time.

The actress Elizabeth Serunye, who plays Principal Jacobeth Thobakgale in the SABC series ‘Skeem Saam,’ claims that she is less tense than her role.

Elizabeth Serunye, who plays Turflooop High School’s former principal Jacobeth Thobakgale in the South African serial opera Skeem Saam, is a fan favorite and the actress has stated that in real life, she is a more laid-back piano-loving boy mom.

ELIZABETH SERUNYE is quoted as saying, “I AM NOT AS HARD AS JACOBETH THOBAKGALE.”
Elizabeth Serunye, who has won multiple awards for her acting, has been portraying the role of Principal Jacobeth Thobakgale in Skeem Saam for ten years. In a recent interview with Drum Magazine, she expressed how much she enjoys playing the role.

She says with a chuckle, “I enjoy playing principal Thobakgale, but I am not as serious or as harsh as she is.” “I am not as serious or as harsh as she is.”

Her character, who has served as an administrator at Turfloop High School ever since the first season, was recently reduced to the teaching staff.

Because Thobakgale’s goal was to attain great matric grades and for prior pupils to succeed in their chosen fields, viewers were dismayed by her relegation.

“She has a lot of drive, and she gets excited when she sees other people making progress. She is a kind person, and one of her goals for the school is to achieve a hundred percent matriculation pass rate. I have gained a lot of knowledge from this character due to the fact that her honesty and ethics are unparalleled. In addition to that, she never gives up fighting for what she thinks is right, which is a wonderful quality to possess.

Her character is likewise a single parent, and she is responsible for bringing up her daughter, a physician named Lizzy (who is portrayed by Amanda Manku).

“Bo Thobakgale are parents that adhere to the Bantu Education philosophy and are known for being severe. They avoid having uncomfortable dialogues with their children because of this. That’s one area in which we disagree.”

HOW SHE’S DIFFERENT FROM HER ‘SKEEM SAAM’ CHARACTER
The actress Elizabeth Serunye has stated that in her actual life, she regularly engages in open and honest discourse with her sons over any and all topics.

“I talk honestly about everything, including sex, and how kids need to put safety first in all they do,” she said. We communicate in the same language, and they are some of my closest friends. Even the music that I listen to is not what society anticipates from a lady of my age, therefore I have come to the conclusion that I must also be a guy.

“Bona, it’s slap ‘n tap and piano all the way. Maphorisa and Kabza de Small are the ones who get the job done for me. Even when I am driving, you may find me pumping Umsholozi, which causes people to be surprised and say “hau ma-oledy.” When they do this, she responds by saying, “Do what you must because this is what I enjoy doing.”

She is a person who is highly specific. She takes the time to carefully evaluate the circumstances.

“I truly take my time and evaluate everything in my own unique way. Even if you clap me, I won’t immediately become angry. I can handle it. I will take some time to reflect on what took place and make an effort to understand the motivations behind your actions; after two months, I may feel the want to become angry. Before I respond, I make an effort to comprehend the motivations behind others’ actions.

Serunye, who has been working in this profession for the past 31 years, admits that she worked as a food vendor by the side of the road in Alexandra for a period of time that lasted for seven years. She had certifications in banking law and reception work at the time, but she was unable to find work in either field.

“I had been performing in theatre for years, and it was the early days of trying to get into TV, but it was difficult.” “I had been acting in theatre for years.” My mother worked as a street seller for many years, during which she sold a variety of goods including garments, amagwinya, and fruit. When I was confronted with adversity, I realized that I couldn’t just sit around and wait for my big break.

“I would set my alarm for four in the morning to ensure that I was standing by the side of the road by four forty-five in the morning. Despite the challenges, I was able to provide for my family by selling baked goods that I cooked at home. Because of my sense of pride, I was unable to return to my mother and ask for money to buy bread and continue.

The dry drought lasted for seven years, from 2001 to 2008, inclusive. In 2006, Serunye appeared in Generations in a bit part. However, her big break came in 2008 when she was cast in the role of Mapaseka Montsho on the comedy show Moferefere Lenyalong, which aired on SABC2 from 2008 until 2012.

Court rules on Isibaya actress Zinhle Mabena who attempted to kill her husband with a scissors

Former Isibaya actress Zinhle Mabena can breathe a sigh of relief – at least for now – after a two-year-long case of assault against her was withdrawn for the second time at the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court this week.

However, her ex-husband, Robert Ngwenya, says he is seeking justice for himself through private prosecution, after the matter was put back on to the court roll for the second time. It was initially withdrawn last October.

The actress was accused of assaulting her ex-husband at their home in Midrand during alleged domestic disputes in 2019 and 2020.

Mabena’s lawyer, Joshua Lazarus Shapiro, confirmed that the star had appeared at the regional court on Tuesday, but would not comment further.

Mabena, who plays Julia on the new Mzansi Magic drama Isifiso, was supported by members of Act Now SA, a group that works to end violence against women and children, when she made her court appearance.

She was charged with assault after she allegedly attacked Ngwenya with a bottle of perfume, a broomstick, a pair of scissors, a photo frame and her fists in separate domestic violence incidents at their home.

He opened four cases at Olievenhoutbosch Police Station in Centurion in 2019 and 2020.

After falling sick during Mabena’s trial last year, Ngwenya asked the court to withdraw the charges to allow the star to carry on with her life, as he was also focusing on his recovery.

“The charges against Zinhle were provisionally withdrawn in consultations with the complainant,” National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana said at the time.

Ngwenya said he had written to the NPA to reinstate the charges a few weeks ago.

He said he was shocked to learn that the matter had been withdrawn once again, allegedly without his knowledge this time.

He said:

I didn’t even know that the matter was back in court on that day. I am hearing from journalists that the case has been withdrawn, but it is not something that I was not expecting because I could tell from how the investigation has been going. I am also aware that the case has been compromised.

Ngwenya said he had raised concerns with the police that key witnesses in the case, including himself, had been intimidated and threatened, but nothing was done to protect them.

“For me, it is not shocking news that the case has been withdrawn. All I know is that the case was back on the roll, and I had a discussion with the police about witnesses being intimated and asked for protection, but nothing was done.”

He said he was seeking justice for himself and his bodyguard, who died after being shot at a petrol station in what was an alleged hit on Ngwenya.

Zinhle was arrested for conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the incident, but was released pending investigations.

It seems as though celebrities are deemed to be superior to our lives because everyone believes that when they do thing, they are correct, but when it is us, we are wrong.

“From where I am sitting, private prosecution is the only solution, and I have already started with that process in relation to the attempted murder case,” he said.

Mahanjana had not yet commented by the time of going to print.

Actress Candice Modiselle was tricked to pay lobola for her ex-boyfriend’s side chick
The Kings Cast Podcast interviewers asked Candice why she gave the guy some money, responding she said they were dating; the guy also lied that his uncle had died and needed cash to run his funeral. Candice described it as the worst business decision she had ever made. Out of love, Candice lent a considerable amount of money to her ex-boyfriend, and he disappeared.

In her own words, she said:

So there was someone I seeing years ago, and that guy had been going through a lot in his life. Mind you this is a grown-up man in his healthy 30s. He told me that his uncle had passed away and he wanted money to contribute to his funeral. He was the first son in his family and it was supposed to contribute something to his uncle’s funeral.

Candice went on to say

He wanted a certain amount of money and with my good heart, I lent that money to him. After giving him the money he ghosted me for a couple of days and I got pissed off and break up with him. A few months later I heard that he got married the week that he had ghosted me. Like Bro used my money to pay lobola for some!

Her story was so emotional and left many sympathizing with her. The worst part is that the guy lied to pay back her money in instalments, but he didn’t.

Dineo Ranaka breathes fire, reveals why she divorced

Media personality Dineo Ranaka has refused to hand over several documents and an audio recording of her estranged husband, Klaas Pesha, allegedly assaulting her in a domestic violence tiff that resulted in the collapse of their marriage last year.

The tape was requested by Pesha’s lawyers to prepare for the R500 000 defamation lawsuit he filed against Ranaka at the Joburg high court in June.

Pesha filed the lawsuit after accusing her of “fabricating” the assault allegations against him.

He said he discovered Ranaka’s defamatory statements when she posted them on her Whatsapp status, alleging he had assaulted her in one of their domestic squabbles at their Tshwane home.

Pesha said the Kaya FM breakfast show host said the incident took place seven months after they tied the knot. She immediately dumped him as she could not stand to be with a man she claimed was a perpetrator of gender-based violence.

Her ex-hubby said she stated she would rather file for divorce than be bumped by him.

“I would rather have a divorce decree than [sic] a premature death certificate. I cannot believe I married a man who has the full capability of killing me and making my death look like it’s my own doing,” reads the message.

Pesha said Ranaka’s legion of fans, friends and family were on her contact list when she posted the messages. He further stated that Ranaka made the statements maliciously, knowing they were false because he was never arrested or charged for assaulting her.

His lawyers wrote a letter of demand to Ranaka on October 14 2021, ordering her to retract her status and apologise to him, but she refused. This, he said, left him with no choice but to approach the court for relief.

In her defence, the former YFM and Metro FM presenter insisted Pesha assaulted her while she was holding their three-month-old baby.

She said she had wanted to open a case of assault against him but he threatened to file a counter charge.

After responding she will defend the matter, Pesha’s legal team asked her to produce the audio and the documents to prepare for trial, but Ranaka refused. In her discovery affidavit she submitted in court on August 31 2022, Ranaka said she was indeed in possession of the audio and the documents. “I have in my possession or under the custody and power, the documents or recordings relating to the matters in question in this suit and which can be used in this action, and which tend to prove or disprove either party’s case, which are set forth in the first schedule,” read the affidavit.

“I object to produce the documents set out in the attached [this include] original audio recording of the incident of assault of the defendant by the plaintiff [on] 11 September 2021, copy of protection order by the defendant against the plaintiff [on] 28 September 2021, copy of the travel itinerary of the defendant from Johannesburg to Cape Town and from Cape Town to Johannesburg [on] October 13 and 14.”

A Johannesburg-based lawyer, who did not want to be named, said Pesha’s legal team will write a letter to Ranaka’s lawyers and demand she hands over the audio clip and other documents in her possession because they need them to prepare for trial.

“The trial cannot proceed without Dineo Ranaka handing over audio clip to his [Pesha’s] legal team. The court will not allow that to happen, eventually she will be forced to hand that over to his legal team,” said the lawyer.

Ranaka could not be reached for comment at the time of going to press as she ignored our phone calls and messages sent to her.
