Get to know Lindelani from Durban Gen
On July 8, 1990, Mike Ndlangamandla was born. He is a South African actor who is most known for his roles as Dr. Lindelani on Durban Gen, Teboho on Isipho, and Pastor Max on Muvhango.

He was born and raised in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga province. Growing up, Mike’s late father used to tell him a Zulu folktale about a rabit who outwits a lion step by step until it ties the lion by its tail to the roof. By so doing, the rabbit escaped being eaten. What Mike learned from the folktale was that life is about being smart and having a strategy.

The Durban Gen star also learned that a small man can punch above his weight, that where you start is not necessarily where you finish, and that he too needed a strategy. After visiting SABC at the age of 18 and realizing that actors were just normal people, he joined a casting agency before studying at the DNA Academy at Johannesburg Theatre to follow his acting dream.Mike Ndlangamandla played Pastor Max on SABC 2’s Muvhango. He was playing a character of a pastor who falls in love with her old friend Gugu (played by Bukamina Cebekhulu) and dumps his fiancé to marry Gugu, however, it didn’t end well as Gugu dumped him.

In 2019, Mike also had another role on a sci-fi telenovela Isipho, an e-tv drama, where he played Teboho. Then, in 2020, he auditioned for Dr Lindelani on Durban Gen. He did the auditions via self-tape, just like other actors such as Lerato Nxumalo, because it was during a national lockdown.
Our favorite actor, Mike, is into gyming, exercising, or bodybuilding. The star does a lot of exercises when he is not on set. Mike claims that gyming helped him land a role on South Africa’s favorite local soap opera.

“If I am not on set, I go to my local gym twice a day, otherwise, I go once a day, at least five days a week.” He said.

Mike’s acting roles, MC gigs, and motivational speaking earn him a decent amount. With a net worth of $170, 000, he is heading in the right direction.
