Penny Lebyane was one of many South African celebrities who unknowingly frequented criminally-accused skin doctor Nandipha Magudumana. The media personality was spotted in a snippet of Showmax’s Tracking Thabo Bester.

Nandipha – a successful entrepreneur – was the owner of Optimum Medical Aesthetics Solutions, a Sandton-based beauty business.

At the time, she also ran several fraudulent businesses and events alongside Bester, including Arum Holdings and Vibes Africa Incorporated. In 2021, she allegedly assisted him in an elaborate prison escape plan.

In one segment of Tracking Thabo Bester, TV and radio personality Penny Lebyane was seen visiting Nandipha Magudumana’s Sandton skin clinic.

Penny was one of several stars who visited the high-end beauty business. Others include former Miss South Africas Zozi Tunzi and Shudu Musida, actor Moshe Ndiki, and Nigerian pop star Davido.

When Nandipha’s link to Bester came to light in 2023, Penny expressed her shock.

She tweeted in April 2023: “I had a retinal facial on 9 March. Literally, a week later, Dr Nandipha unravelled on the timeline.”As a successful cosmetics doctor, Dr Nandipha has befriended many celebrities over the years. In pictures that have gone viral on social media, the skincare guru is seen rubbing shoulders with celebs like Thabo Mbeki, Jessica Nkosi, Redi Tlhabi, and Terry Pheto.Redi later distanced herself from Nandipha after much public backlash.

The investigative journalist insisted her friendship with Nandipha was formed through their partners, Brian Tlhabi and Mkhuseli Magumana, who are friends. She also claims she last spoke to Magadumana in 2019.In a series of tweets, she posted:

“People digging up old pictures….like we should have all known that years later, she’d be smuggling a serial rapist out of jail? We should have read it in her eyes?

“I’ve not seen her since Feb 2019. And with the end of her marriage to Brian’s close friend & by extension, my friend, we have not had any contact. I am shattered for her little girls AND would still call the cops on her.”

This week, she blasted ride-hailing services Uber after her makeup artist allegedly got robbed during a trip.

According to the media personality, her makeup artist was robbed during a trip he requested to Kempton Park.

Once inside the Uber, the driver allegedly let three armed men in the car. He was then driven to Alex where he was forced by three gunmen to empty his accounts.

“My makeup artist was robbed inside an Uber!!!! Guys stop taking UBER. He requested an Uber to Kempton Park. The Uber guy stops and lets 3 armed men in.

“They drive him to Alex, tie him up and clean out his bank accounts!!!!! Your trusted Uber says they can’t do anything. They say it’s a dead end. Yeah the dead part is us!!!!!!” wrote Anele.MZANSI WEIGHS IN
In the comment section, many locals shared their concerns about Uber and rival company Bolt. Many have seemingly lost faith in the ride services because of the various dangerous instances.

“I stopped using @boltapp and @Uber when my wife was nearly abducted in Kempton park in a Bolt, reported it and nothing ever happened, the ride disappeared on the app because they working with them,” one person said while another wrote:

“There was an uber guy who was robbed of his car in 2020 and the robber used that car the whole night and he robbed some of the clients he carried that night .The lesson here is stop saying uber is bad or uber drivers are criminals without getting facts first.”

South African musician Nhlanhla Mafu revealed her age on her birthday on 15 March.

Nhlanhla Mafu remains one of the country’s most famous and talented vocalists with hit songs under Mafikizolo. The talented vocalist became famous when she started Mafikizolo with Theo Kgosinkwe.

With the two backing as early as 1997, many fans could not believe it when they met her now. Some still believe that Nhlanhla is now an old-looking lady, but they are wrong.

South African vocalist Lerato Molapo, known as Lira, broke into tears while receiving a birthday present from Metro FM on 14 March.

Lira remains one of the most talented vocalists in the country and has been dishing music since a young age. She became famous after lining up alongside Alicia Keys, Shakira, K’Naan and John Legend at the FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Concert.

 

 

 

 
The talented vocalist performed a rendition of Pata Pata, a hit song by the late Miriam Makeba, and fans loved it. With a lot of fame and top music, she survived a stroke when most fans thought she might lose her life.

Lira revealed the news on Instagram to celebrate her birthday, leaving fans wishing him well.

LIRA’S STROKE
While celebrating Lira’s birthday, we looked at when she had a stroke and survived it. In March 2022, Lira had a stroke while in Germany, and it was painful news to hear for most of her fans.

The stroke affected her speech, and her fans feared she would not be able to sing again. Surprisingly, she survived and has been making massive progress in her recovery since then.
