The pursuit of an education was long regarded to be the key to success, and practically all parents yearned for their children to enter fields like medicine, law, engineering, or other traditionally “noble” professions. But circumstances have changed, and in the twenty-first century, even illiterate celebrities are earning more from their gifts than those in normal employment. 1. Somizi Mhlongo

Despite being one of South Africa’s most renowned persons with no formal education, Somizi Mhlongo has enjoyed a profitable career in the spotlight for more than three decades.

By the time Somizi was 12 years old, he had already determined he wanted to follow in his parents’ footsteps and become a dancer. Somizi claimed in a 2014 interview with eTV that he began attending school at the age of six but recognized after only six months that he loathed it.

The famed actor, who earned his first acting part when he was barely 13, eventually quit school in his ninth grade to chase his goals. We are happy with how well things turned out for him.

Cassper attended Mahikeng’s Sol Plaatje Secondary School, but he never completed his studies. The 12-year-old rapper did poorly in the classroom, but he was a star on the basketball court and the track. He began spouting poetry at that age. After Cassper failed his grade 10 exams in 2006, he decided to forego further education in favor of pursuing his dreams. Cassper took a chance and moved to Johannesburg to begin his career in 2008.

3. Prince Kaybee

Prince Kaybee, one of the most proficient spinners in Mzansi, is a famously dumb guy in South Africa.

With 35 siblings, Prince Kaybee, whose full name is Kabelo Motsamai, grew up on a big property. They were supported financially by the young Kabelo’s mom, who also lived with them. Prince Kaybee left school in Grade 11 because his mother could not pay his fees. The rest, as they say, is history; after three years of living on the streets and frequenting clubs in quest of work, he landed a deejaying gig at a Nigerian club.

B. Thulo, Boity

Boity Thulo is another famous South African star who did not complete their degree despite being a good student. The famous student enrolled at Monash University to study criminology and psychology, but had to drop out when her mother couldn’t afford the fees. Fortunately for Boity, she is also highly talented. Although she failed in school, her skills in acting and music have helped her to thrive.

5. DJ Maphorisa

He’s a platinum-selling deejay and producer out of South Africa, and he’s another celebrity who didn’t go to college but became rich thanks to his talent.

In an interview with Metro FM, DJ Maphorisa stated that after finishing high school, he enrolled in college to do technical courses but quit to pursue his objectives.

The famous person also admitted that he had returned to school since he was having problems landing contracts despite his prior achievements without a degree.
