Lunathi Mampofu Joins Mzansi Magic Series Code 13

Code 13 is the new Mzansi Magic drama series that will debut on 14 April at 20:00.

Crime, corruption, and betrayal are what viewers can expect from this new series with familiar faces such as Lunathi Mampofu and Zolisa Xaluva.

On this show, Zolisa plays Bheki Ndlovu, a hardcore police detective with a reputation for solving cases and taking down the most hardcore criminals.

The no-nonsense police officer encounters two challenges. Firstly, having to re-arrest six of the most dangerous criminals who escaped from a police van. This becomes a tricky case for him because of the corruption, betrayal, and continuous secrets from the people in power affiliated with this case. He stumbles from one adversary to another.

The second challenge he faces is his longing for a romantic relationship with his work partner Bongi Nkosi, played by Lunathi Mampofu. Seemingly Bheki does not only have to deal with criminals stealing from innocent people, but he also has to deal with Bongi stealing his heart.

A fascinating storyline because we witness a hardcore police officer known to grapple with some of SA’s biggest scumbags, tone down his harsh and brutal persona because he is in his feelings.

That makes us wonder what exactly Bongi does that gets Bheki love-struck.
