Two Black Female Pilots Fly Plane Together for the First-Time

Two South African Airways women pilots made history by becoming the first black female pilots to fly together for the first time. Captain Annabel Vundla and First Officer Refilwe Moreetsi comprised the entire cockpit of an SAA flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town, a major milestone for the revamped carrier in its 88 years of existence.

Captain Vundla is also SAA’s first Black African Female Captain and First Officer Moreetsi is not only a seasoned and experienced pilot, but also the first Black African Management Pilot as she is also responsible for Fatigue Risk Management at the airline.

SAA Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer, said, “This is a milestone in the transformation of our national carrier. The airline continues to show leadership in transforming the aviation sector and overcoming inequalities in scarce skills and employment opportunities.”

The Star Alliance carrier, noted that its ethnicity count includes 63% Africans, 11% Coloureds, 10.5% Indians and 15.5% Whites.

“South Africans can feel proud of a national carrier that is truly represented of our diversity and we celebrate that. SAA is a non-discriminatory, non-racial, equal opportunities employer with a strategic transformational role,” says SAA Executive for Human Resources, Mrs Mpho Letlape.

SkeemSaam| Khwezi hides from Lehasa after realizing that he wahts

Things have not been the same since Khwezi realized that Lehasa is actually more dangerous than she thought. Khwezi ran to Francois to help her and hide from her husband Lehasa. Khwezi can be a lot of things but we never thought that she is terrified of Lehasa.

How can she marry someone so dangerous, Khwezi is in danger. She needs to disappear in order to live without fear. Lehasa is going to look for her until he finds her, Lehasa will not believe that Francois is actually working with Khwezi because he trust him.

In my opinion, I would love to see Pretty coming back because Lehasa needs her right now, but she will not come back unless if Lehasa fix everything between him and Khwezi.

How long will Khwezi hides from him, it seems like she has forgotten that she is carrying Lehasa’s baby.

In loving memory of the legend Mandoza

In loving memory of the legend Mandoza ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾
Mandoza was born in the Zola South section of Soweto, where he shared a house with his parents, his grandparents and two sisters. When he was sixteen years old he was charged with stealing a car and received a one-and-a-half year sentence, which he served in Diepkloof prison.

When he was released from prison, Mandoza formed the group Chiskop along with three childhood friends, S’bu, Siphiwe and Siszwe.
Musical career.👇🏾
The group signed its first record contract eight years after its formation and released their debut album, akushane later followed by relax and Ghetto 2000.
Although Chiskop achieved great success and was widely seen to be at kwaito’s forefront, Mandoza also started a solo career; in 1999 he released the top-selling (more than 100,000 units sold) album 9II5 Zola South, for which he gained a 2000 FNB South African Music Awards Best Newcomer nomination.
He subsequently released the album Nkalakatha in 2000, which won multi-platinum status. The title track became a crossover hit and reached the top of the charts on both traditionally black and white radio stations. This album won the Best Kwaito Music Album category and the album’s title track won the Song Of The Year category at the South African Music Awards in 2001. Mandoza also won in five of the ten categories at the 2001 Metro Music Awards: Best Kwaito Artist, Best Male Vocalist, Best Album, Best Styled Artist and Song Of The Year. Finally, also in 2001, Mandoza won the Best Artist – Southern Africa category at the Kora All Africa Music Awards.
Mandoza was voted 77th in the Top 100 Great South Africans in 2004.
In February 2005 it was announced that Mandoza would play a major supporting role in a new South African-made rugby-themed feature film, Number 10, which would be directed by Academy Award nominee Darrell James Roodt. It was also announced that Mandoza would be contributing to the film’s soundtrack.
Mandoza sang in several of South Africa’s many languages, including English, Afrikaans, Zulu, and Xhosa, giving him wide appeal with South African listeners.
Mandoza died September 18, 2016. According to his family, he was being treated for pharyngeal cancer prior to his death.
