SABC1 has a brand-new reality show, The Queens of Mzansi, which will premiere on Monday, 15 August at 21:00.

“Like most South African women, The Queens of Mzansi face hardships from gender-based violence, divorce, financial difficulties, and being widowed. That is what makes them Queens…they all had a rebirth and have found their voices and crowns again,” reads a press release from the channel.

According to the statement, viewers will get a front-row seat into their lives and what it ‘means to be a modern-day South African woman’ while balancing friendship, romantic relationships, being single moms and managing their businesses.

Paloma (Lolo) Mlunjwana
The 35-year-old hails from Zimbabwe. She met her first “sugar daddy” on a website, who was a multi-millionaire, and he helped her elevate her life.

Yvonne Chaka Chaka (born Yvonne Machaka on 18 March 1965) is a South African singer, songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, humanitarian and teacher. Dubbed the “Princess of Africa”[by whom?] (a name she received after a 1990 tour), Chaka Chaka has been at the forefront of South African popular music for 35 years and has been popular in Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Gabon, Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast.[3] Songs such as “I’m Burning Up”, “Thank You Mr. DJ”, “I Cry For Freedom”, “Motherland” and the ever-popular “Umqombothi” (“African Beer”) ensured Chaka Chaka’s stardom. As a young performer Chaka Chaka was the first Black child[4] to appear on South African television in 1981. Since then, she has shared the stage with people such as Bono, Angélique Kidjo, Annie Lennox, Youssou N’Dour, the crossover group Appassionante, the classic rock band Queen and South Africans Johnny Clegg, Miriam Makeba and Hugh Masekela. She has performed for Queen Elizabeth II, US President Bill Clinton, South African President Thabo Mbeki and other world leaders.
Chaka Chaka is a champion for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and malaria, the United Nations MDG Envoy for Africa, and the Goodwill Ambassador for the Roll Back Malaria Partnership. She was chosen by Nelson Mandela as the first ambassador for his children’s fund, and has also established her own charity, the Princess of Africa Foundation, using the name first given to her in Uganda. The Princess of Africa Foundation is a partner of the ACTION global health advocacy partnership. In 2012, she was the first African woman to receive the World Economic Forum’s Crystal Award.
She teaches literacy part-time at the University of South Africa, sits on several boards of charitable organisations and NGOs, and serves on the board of the Johannesburg Tourism Company.

Master KG’s 27th birthday

Master KG expresses excitement as he turns 27-year-old today.

The music producer’s birthday was initially announced by his girlfriend, Makahadzi a few days ago.

The singer announced a birthday party for him which she will be hosting; the news confirmed their reunion after hinting at breaking up weeks ago.

Taking to Instagram, KG announced his birthday.

“Year 27 I Was Born on This Day! Thank You GOD For everything and All my Lovely Fans,” he wrote.

I think they did great by winning the game because everyone is on the line to be eliminated this week. They had to work hard to save themselves from elimination, they are going to have the best week knowing that they are not going home this week.

Kanaga is a very competitive housemate, he pays attention to the rules and making sure that he always wins. He motivates his partner Blue Aiva to be competitive as well, will they both make it to the final? This was a tough game indeed.

They are now wearing their Head of House titles and they look good on them. Holding this titles means a lot to them, it also proves why they are in the house in the first place. This is going to be tough week. I think Bule Aiva will nominate Khosi for the eliminations on Sunday.
