His family has also expressed their gratitude to friends and fans of the slain artist, who died a few days ago alongside his friend and former manager Motsoane. They were gunned down outside a popular eatery on Durban’s Florida Road, South Africa on Friday evening.

AKA’s memorial will be open to the public and streamed online.

The memorial service will take place on Friday at 3pm at the Sandton Convention Centre, South Africa.

There will be a private funeral where AKA will be laid to rest, on Saturday, 18th February.

A huge signage has been set up in South Africa , in respect and celebration of the rapper’s life. He died at the age of 35.

A video of AKA’s girlfriend comforting the mother of AKA’s child, DJ Zinhle, cause quite a stir on social media. While many were impressed with how great their relationship was, some thought that DJ Zinhle was doing too much.

Broadcast journalist @MongeziKoko took to his Twitter account to post the video. He left this caption on the tweet, “[WATCH] AKA’s girlfriend Nadia Nakai comforting DJ Zinhle following Tebello #Tibz Motsoane’s memorial service in Observatory today.”

@Obrain_Makwela left this comment on the tweet, “This is maturity, AKA was happy for DJ Zinhle and Zinhle was happy for AKA….They made co-parenting look easy and I can feel the pain she’s feeling because now she has to look Kairo in the eyes everyday and not have answers to questions of where her father is💔 #RIPakaworldwide.”

A number of people, particularly men, took to the comments section of his tweet to share that they feel sorry for Zinhle’s husband, Murdah Bongz, who has to watch his wife mourn and cry for another man.

While numerous celebs and ordinary people have paid tribute to late South African superstar AKA and offered condolences to his family. His ex-girlfriend Bonang Matheba has blue-ticked news of his passing. She didn’t say or post any tribute.
