During the past few days after the death of AKA was announced, his father, Tony Forbes, appeared to be a very strong man. If he was not strong, he appeared to be strong in public.

However, today as the late rapper’s memorial service commenced, Tony Forbes broke into tears. The truth is that AKA’s untimely death has hurt too many people. The pain has not only affected his family a we are mourning this tragedy as a nation.

It is really heartbreaking to see the old man in tears, crying for his son, whose life was cut short by the evil criminals. He has really tried all his best to hold himself tougher all the time, and he can’t bottle it up.

It is not easy for any parent to bury their own children, it is even worse when their death came in this tragic way. The only better thing now if for the killers to be arrested so that the family can get justice and closure.

It was such am emotional moment when AKA’s only daughter, Kairo embraced AKA’s girlfriend, and consoled her, during the memorial service of the slain musician. Keirnan ‘AKA’ Forbes’ daughter Kairo tries hard to comfort the rapper’s distraught girlfriend Nadia Nakai and his mother Lynn Forbes. The memorial service is very much attended by the high dignitaries of South Africa, including the family of the late prolific musician. After watching the video and the emotion that followed, a popular social media influencer wrote, “Guys, is there a death that has touched us as citizens like AKA’s death? Don’t even think Mandela’s death touched us like this”. It has been tears upon tears all through the memorial service.

One of the most distraught people is DJ Zinhle, who is the mother of AKA’s daughter, Kairo. She has been posting repeatedly about the slain musician since he was murdered. However, many people are attacking her for always posting about AKA who happened to be the father of her daughter, even though she is married to another person at the time of AKA’s death.

Another social media user commented on this issue, “How sad that DJ Zinhle cannot express herself publicly because the public, sadly, will have something negative to say. She is not allowed to be sad according to the Twitter standards…how sad”. Another person posted, “Strength to DJ Zinhle, Kairo, Nadia, the Forbes family and all Kiernan fans at large. The healing journey is definitely going to be a tough one for every one of them … My heart breaks for this little one, I am not convinced that she really fully comprehends what’s happening and how her world has changed. It will come, but she’s privileged to have such a loving family”. The memorial service was great even though it was emotionally draining.

The face of a little girl who must live with the fact that her father will not come back to hug her, protect her, make her laugh or wipe her tears away. As musician Kabelo was giving a prayer and asked the audience to say the prayer with him, Kairo started crying. My heart broke over & over again. I can see that this child is being raised by a strong mother, Zinhle.

But no matter how strong we are, we are only human. Thank you to Zinhle for allowing Kairo the best moments with her father. I’m sure she is also broken but trying to be strong for her daughter. Tony Forbes has been the strongest he can be and I know he wants to bury his son with dignity. Even with all the cameras around, even after seeing the horrible video of his son being assassinated, even with no answers or arrests, he is so calm & strong.

Let us also pray for him as the head of the house who needs to be strong for his wife and family. God knows how he is hurting inside. His wife, Lynn, AKA’s mother, is completely broken. She said very few words last night with tears in her eyes. She thanked everyone for their support and she appealed to the youth to “please vote.” She did not say much else because she was very emotional …but we all understand what she means by that statement. We deserve so much better from our government. People are killed everyday in this country. Brutal senseless murders and it’s only getting worse. Aka deserved better. We deserve better. Our children deserve better.

I think this death hit us all very hard not only because of its brutal nature but the video made us understand that within mere seconds, you can be gone.

It was cold, vicious and ungodly. People have lost respect for one another in this country. A life means nothing anymore. All of us can identify with Tony, Lynn, Zinhle, Nadia and especially Kairo. These are real people going through a very real thing. We need God and we need prayer in South Africa. Think about the countless other children like Kairo who lost their daddies and mommies. Think about the senseless killings of our children, everyday in South Africa. They deserve better. She deserved better. God is watching and waiting for us to do better, to be better and to live better. Sometimes it takes a very bad thing to bring out the good in us. To bring us to our knees & be humble before the eyes of the Lord. I am not ashamed of God.

Kairo notices that Nadia Nakai is hysterically crying and goes to her and gives her a gentle hug. She then moves over to her grandmother and gives her a hug and a kiss on the forehead.

That moment of gentleness and kindness from the 9 year old warmed a lot of people’s hearts.

The Forbes family allowed for the rest of South Africans to witness them sending their last goodbyes to AKA by broadcasting the memorial on YouTube and SABC 1. The Forbes Family stated, “It is our wish to celebrate the life of Kiernan with those he touched and impacted through his gift of music. His memorial will therefore be open to the public as well as streamed online on YouTube.”

Moses Tembe is a multi-billionaire entrepreneur in South Africa who has dabbled in the gaming, oil and gas, fast food, and real estate industries. Many people will recognize him as the father of the late Nellie Tembe, Kiernan Forbes’ (AKA) fiancee. Jozini Tiger Estate was developed in part because to Moses Tembe, who presided over the KZN Growth Coalition. And his contributions did not end with the creation of work for residents of his area.

After being shot as he left a bar in Durban, South Africa’s famed rapper AKA tragically lost unexpectedly lately. On social media, some have speculated that Moses Tembe may have called the hit on AKA, bringing the rapper’s death into the spotlight.

As far as anyone can tell, Moses Tembe called the hit on AKA because he holds the rapper responsible for the death of his daughter, Nellie Tembe, who was involved in a violent dispute with AKA before she passed suddenly last year. Many conclude that Moses was punishing AKA for this perceived slight.

Commenters have pointed out that Moses’s proximity to Durban means he could have easily called the attack on AKA. In fact, a dedicated supporter commented on the topic online “Moses Tembe was involved in AKA’s untimely demise… After AKA/Supa Mega assassinated Anele Tembe and her family was left in the dark, everyone knows that this is an act of revenge, especially since her father was a well-respected businessman in Durban. He was murdered.”

At any rate, it appears like things are heating up, but is Moses Tembe connected to AKA’s murder, or is this just a witch hunt by AKA’s fans?
