‘Skeem Saam’ Spoiler: Mr Kgomo returns to Hospital

Fans of SABC1’s soapie Skeem Saam will be disappointed to know that the show’s most-hated character Mr Kgomo (Lebogang Oliphant) will get his job back in August. The TVSA Skeem Saam August teasers reveal that Mr Obed Kgomo willreturn to Hospital as superintendent, after he got fired by the board in July.

The teasers also reveal that Shoki, who works in Human Resources at Turfloop Hospital will quit her job days before Obed Kgomo’s return.

Though it is unclear how he will get reinstated, we can assume that he will find a loophole in his dismissal from the hospital, e.g. he previously revealed that he’s never received a warning before getting fired.Skeem Saam’s popular character Mr Obed Kgomo got fired at Turfloop Hospital as a superintendent, after the board found out he stole R80 000 and had an affair with his receptionist, Melita.

Obed has been living at a motel since his wife, Ivy Kgomo threw him out and he’s ran out of money as he’s no longer employed.

He received a phonecall from the hospital on Friday, 21 July episode, where he was told to pay up the R80 000 that he stole.

Dr Hlongwane revealed at his hearing this week that he deposited R80 000 into his account, which was meant for the suppliers, who haven’t been paid for three months.

Monday, 24 July teaser indicates that he might ask Alfred for accommodation as he doesn’t have money to pay for his current accommodation.

‘Someone hurt my son : ’Costa Titch’s mom questions night he died

The mother of late Amapiano hitmaker Costa Titch has shared her heartbreak over unanswered questions following his death more than four months ago.

This follows a delay in a toxicology report, which she claims may have the answers on who “hurt” him.

Speaking exclusively to The South African, the woman also claimed that contrary to media reports, Costa was neither epileptic nor abused drugs.

The pint-size star – real name Costantinos Tsobanoglou – died on 11 March after suddenly collapsing on stage. The rapper was performing at the Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg.

A cause of death has yet to be established.Speaking to The South African, Costa Titch’s mother, Lara Langeveld – aka “Mama Titch” – revealed she had yet to receive the results of a toxicology test.

She said: “I still don’t have answers to what caused his death.”

According to EWN, SA has a current backlog of close to 40 000 outstanding toxicology reports. Toxicology tests are used to decipher if someone has been exposed to certain chemicals or toxins. When asked if she had decided to pursue a private route, Mama Titch said: “I did try to get a private toxicology test done but we could not as Costa was cremated. At the time, I did not realise we needed a complete private autopsy to be done to get a private test done”.

NO EPILEPSY OR SEIZURE
Meanwhile, Lara disputed reports Costa had epilepsy.

She continued: “I can tell you for a fact he never had a seizure as you can tell from the video they took of him collapsing that his legs were moving but not his arms. He never suffered from epilepsy, and we would like to know who told the media that he did.

“No authorities even contacted me when he died. I just got a call from his managers to tell me that night. Afterwards, I collapsed from the shock. I am still waiting for answers and I will not rest until I do”.Lara also had multiple unanswered questions about the night Costa died.

She said: “I heard my son only died about two hours afterwards yet Baragwanath [hospital] was only a few kilometres away. Why did they not take him there? Nobody will answer these questions. She added: “I accept God took my son, but I cannot accept how he died. What broke me was hearing my son was pleading for help, and that has scarred me for life. I know this country has a high crime rate, but I still want justice for my son.

“I highly suspect someone hurt my son as he was not on chronic medication, and he was healthy.”

NO DRUG ABUSE EITHER
Costa’s mom claimed that the hitmaker had not abused substances.

She added: “As far as drugs he was on a health programme and hated any form of drug use. All close friends and anyone who knew him can verify he never took drugs”.

Ntando Duma’s acting skills heavily criticised

It wouldn’t be the first time local actress Ntando Duma has faced backlash over her acting skills — or lack there of. The star’s on screen skills have been a little more than lacklustre according to most South African social media users who are now wondering how she is even managing to bag gigs in the entertainment industry.

The actress has been trending all morning after she made her first appearance in South Africa’s latest drama series, Shaka Ilembe.Just a few weeks ago, Ntando Duma and her badly installed wig left South Africans absolutely cringing.

While her style choices usually inspire applause, it would appear her acting skills — like her wig — have fallen short of many people’s expectations.

This week, the actress made her debut as Bhibhi in Mzansi Magic’s (DStv 161) Shaka iLembe.

While many loved to see her doing her thing in the popular drama series, not everyone thought that she was talented enough for the part.

Taking to Twitter, infamous troll Chris Excel complained about her always landing gigs despite showing ‘no improvement” in her acting skills. Thando Thabethe’ ex Lunga Shabala also caught strays.

“SA television industry is so patient with Ntando Duma and Lunga Shabalala. They’ve been in this acting industry for years but no improvement. But they keep on bagging these acting gigs left and right,” wrote Chris. The post left many people buzzing as they discussed her as an actress. Many appear to believe that she is talented and played Bhibhi perfectly.

“Ntando is perfect for this role and she nailed it,” one person said while another added:

“Mara Ntando is worse …… ‘She Is Definitely Unable To Can’.
