he Department of Correctional Services has reportedly denied allegations that Thabo Bester’s co-accused, Nandipha Magudumana, is receiving “special treatment” behind bars.

The aesthetic doctor is being held at the hospital division of the Bizzah Makhate prison in Kroonstad. But according to the department, this is for her own good.

Earlier this week, the National Commissioner of Correctional Services Makgothi Thobakgale gave media representatives a walkabout of both Nandipha and Thabo Bester’s prison surroundings.

While Nandipha is reportedly kept in comfort at the hospital wing, Bester is held in complete isolation at the Kgosi Mampuru prison in Pretoria.But following claims that Magudumana was given “special treatment” by not being housed with other offenders, Thobakgale revealed the real reasons why.Thobakgale said: “The purpose is to isolate her, control her movement. To make sure she does not have interaction [with others] or access to cellphones.”

The commissioner claimed that Magudumana is given the same diet as other offenders and no preferential treatment.

Local songstress Lady Du has been through over the last few years but continues to keep her head up.

The musician just headed online to highlight the dangers of selling harmful substances such as rat poison to underage children.

This after two school learners allegedly committed suicide using the pesticide.

According to her, there should be restrictions that stop underage children from buying the poison. She also asked that mental health awareness be prioritised in schools.
