Pearl Thusi punished at the airport for her bad habit

South African actress Pearl Thusi said she was punished at the airport for her ‘bad‘ habit. Even though they were joking, Pearl Thusi found it wanting that she was known for such habits. The talented actress was on her way to Zimbabwe to enjoy herself at Victoria Falls when it all happened. It seemed that Pearl is not a lady who is always on time when catching flights.

On top of being late, it seemed that she usually gets to the airport in a bad mood and not entertaining any jokes.
Surprisingly, she was at the airport in time and in a good mood that the lady at the till could make some jokes with her. She said she was finally early for a flight and in a good mood.

Pearl took it to her Instagram to share with her fans as she left the country for Victoria Falls, saying. This lady punished me! She said she is so happy to see @pearlthusi is finally early and in a good mood at the airport. The famous actress arrived at the airport wearing her black jacket that almost covered her face.

In the video, one could see that Pearl was in high spirits as she started a conversation with the teller. When Pearl is at the airport, she is in a hurry to attend shoots outside the country. She is a busy lady that doesn’t have a second to waste when her schedule becomes tight.

This must be the mood that most airport tellers get to see Pearl Thusi in, not that she has a bad habit. Having some time off enjoying the waters in Victoria Falls was probably thrilling for her.

Skeem Saam actress Innocent Sadiki (Sthoko) becomes a senior pastor of her church

Though women are often the pillars of churches, senior positions are still dominated by men, but not in Church By The Valley, where actress and preacher Innocent Sadiki will head her own branch from September 3.

The actress and her husband, also a preacher, announced that Innocent would head one of the church’s new branches after she was appointed senior pastor at the weekend.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Innocent said while she always knew she was “called to lead”, the promotion took her by surprise.

“It’s difficult to answer this question because I have no doubt God has called me, but to lead a church is different for me. God too“This is why I have the annual conference ‘Beauty and the Blessed’, to engage women with provoking conversations with the aim to promote a shift in mindset and bring to light new approaches for mitigating the societal challenges facing women in this era of our nation.”

Innocent said she gets her mandate from the Bible.

Quoting from scripture, the mother of two recalled Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Sharing her vision, Innocent said a church under her leadership would be characterised by order and community.

“I’m a very structured person, so I would like to see a church of order and most importantly build a community church. A home of worship and praise, a one-stop church which will cater for all spiritual wellness needs. I would like to see God take us to the nations. I don’t see a church, I see a global movement. The vision is bigger than me or even the church. If we remain humble, God will fulfil His plans.”

Asked if the added responsibility will mean less acting, Innocent said she would successfully juggle both.k me by surprise. When I said I’m available to be used by Him, I didn’t know He would take it this far. However, I understand the assignment very well. I’m here on earth for a deeper purpose, my life is in His hands. So where He leads me, I will follow,” said Innocent.

The actress, well known as Sthoko on Skeem Saam, said she wasn’t fazed by being a senior preacher, a position usually held by male preachers.

“This is a reality but it doesn’t worry me at all. I know before He called me, He had qualified me. I’m also an advocate for women empowerment, so this hits home for me. This is an opportunity for me to show our God is able to use women mightily in the church. I’m never going to minimise myself for anything or for anyone.

Actor Oros Mampofu opens up on what keeps him grounded in showbiz

Oros Mampofu

Popular South African actor Oros Mampofu credits his faith and wanting to build a legacy for his two daughters as reasons he remains grounded despite his increasing fame.

Not only did he make his breakthrough on SABC’s Skeem Saam but he has gone on to star in Netflix’s Savage Beauty and KykNET’s Hartklop.

The 32-year-old told the publication having Jesus Christ as his lord and saviour is what’s been grounding him in the entertainment industry since he found fame.

“You transverse in your journey, you learn, see and experience a lot of things and you realise very quickly the person who keeps us under the hand is him. Jesus is really the one. It can all seem like the perfect answer or the novel answer but it is until you’ve experienced everything you realise that this really makes a difference. Knowing I’m safe under him is really good.”

Oros has two daughters with his partner Bianca Carmichael and he wants to model a life for his children they can look back on.

“I think my desire, my hunger to be an example to them in the best way possible, it keeps me hungry and aggressive, but it also keeps me anxious and aware. I’m trying to keep that balance because you can move boldly and be confident and crash like that car moving at 180km/h but be too slow and end up losing your opportunities because you are under the shell.

“So it’s always this game of figuring out the balance, and always trying to strike a healthy balance and it takes discernment. Obviously we are human, we will fall at some point because we are not perfect. The only person who is perfect is Jesus.
