She’s also known for her stints on Soul City and Isibaya.Speaking to TshisaLIVE about her move into DJing under the name “Mvelo”, she said she has been wanting to enter the music scene since working with DJ Black Coffee’s former record label Soulistic.

“I started with DJing. I was in the studio trying to get my vocals and I decided to figure things out in the studio and I started doing DJing classes with Lebza The Villain, I was learning from different people. I was part of Soulistic, it was my management, but I’ve since parted ways with them.”

She has taken a break from acting as she spent nine years being known for the character she played in Scandal!.

“It was something I needed to do personally for myself. I needed to release the character by not doing that type of work and focus on music. But I’m back attending auditions. I miss acting, I’m crossing my fingers for something.”

Nomvelo joins some of South Africa’s top personalities who’ve also moved into DJing, such as Thuli Mpongolo, Pearl Thusi and Dineo Ranaka.

The 28-year old said trying something new and seeing it coming to fruition is great, as it motivated her.

She is inspired by Desiree, who is one of the most promising house DJs in South Africa and is known for her Afrocentric meets techno style.

“The music inspired me and [it] doesn’t matter whether I’m singing, acting or DJing. I’m healing people through that. My talent in acting would heal people in their homes and educated viewers. The same goes for my music or DJing career, it delivers the same energy.”

The Nkandla-born star said in a few months her fans will get to know her sound of choice through her singles released.

“I play Afrotech and Afrohouse, and the time has come for me to release a single or two. People should stay tuned to my social page for my soon-to-be-released single.”

She is one of the most talented South African vocalists and actresses. She gained popularity after starring as Nomathemba in Mzansi Magic’s supernatural drama series The Herd. Following her recurring role in season one, she was elevated to leading cast in season two in 2019.

She appeared in an NPA production called Speakout Against Abuse between 2007 and 2008. The concert was geared for young school children and took place at the Sheraton Hotel in Pretoria, South Africa.

Makhadzi before becoming famous, she was a well-known Limpopo street performer.

She has been dupped as The Queen of Africa. No doubt currently she is the best performing musician of our time. Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona is a celebrated South African musician best known as Makhadzi Muimbi.

Makhadzi was born in a small village called Ha-Mashamba Tshivhangani, just outside Elim in Limpopo province. After her parents separated, Ndivhudzannyi and her two siblings had to stay with their mother. She completed her grade 12 at Mukula Integrated School. Ndivhudzannyi obtained her qualification in Public Relations and she is currently studying drama.

Her career started at the age of 12, used to perform at Taxi ranks, getting money from people’s offerings. In 2019, Makhadzi was featured by Master KG on a song titled “Tshikwama”, released off the album Jerusalema.

Queen of Limpopo dance music Makhadzi is no newbie – don’t get it twisted.

Despite being just 25, the energetic supernova has been around the block for 10 years. It had, however, been a rollercoaster ride until her smash banger Matorokisi changed the game for her.

Makhadzi was rejected by TV and radio for the longest time – but people loved her. Being rejected by TV and radio never discouraged Makhadzi, whose stage name means “paternal aunt” in Venda and there’s a funny story that goes with it.

Many questions have been asked about Makhadzi educational background of late. Yes, Makhadzi attended Mukula Integrated School, where she finished her Grade 12. In a bid to become a successful and educated singer, she graduated with a Public Relations degree and proceeded to study Drama.

However, just like those before her, she has rags to riches story to tell. Before fame, the musician was a well-known street performer in Limpopo. Her career started back then in 2010 were she used to perform in the streets with a musical group named Makirikiri. Despite the group majoring in dancing, the African Queen then expanded the groups’ trade with singing.
Abused at a young age

Makhadzi revealed she was abused when she started in the music industry at an early age. Being a young girl, men who dominated the industry physically and emotionally abused her while she tried to get assistance to launch her career.

The Ghanama hitmaker’s management team comprised a couple, and she claims her manager’s husband raped her every weekend until she left.

Anele Mdoda Raves Over Young Stunna’s Performance

Anele Mdoda is famous as much for her presenting skills as for speaking her mind on issues. This candid side of her manifested again recently when she shared about Young Stunna’s performance during Kabza De Small’s symphonic orchestra at the Lyric Theatre in Johannesburg.

Young Stunna was one of the musicians on the ground during the historic event – historic in the sense that it was the first time the Kabza would hold an orchestra and at that location.

Anyway, Anele Mdoda was impressed with Young Stunna’s performance and she shared about the same in response to the clip of him performing. She literally gushed in the post, noting that a star is a star.

Last we checked, the post has been liked over 4k times, with many of those who commented about the post agreeing with her verdict about the musician, as you can see below.

Indeed, Young Stunna is pretty good as a musician and is doing well for himself. Interestingly, he has a close relationship with Kabza De Small and readily acknowledges the role Kabza has played in pushing him to the place he is today – one of the South African musicians of consequence. Life can be beautiful.
