Vusi Nova is in his late 30s. He recently admitted that he had forgotten that he wasn’t an adolescent anymore. This comes after he was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with high blood pressure. “I sometimes forget that I’m not getting any younger. I feel 21!” he said.


The Ndikuthandile hitmaker was released from the hospital and is back on his grind as he recently left his former record Muthaland Entertainment to start his own company, Nova Sounds, SowetanLIVE reported. “I got back from the hospital this morning and I’m feeling healthier and energised,” he added.The beloved singer encouraged his fans and social media followers to pay attention to their health. He explained that he hadn’t a clue that he had high blood pressure until his body suddenly started “acting up”.

“Make sure you exercise; your diet is proper [and] you go for check-ups. Yesterday I was hospitalised very early in the morning – around five [due to] fatigue. My heart was acting up and then I found out that I have high blood pressure. Now I have to take blood pressure medication – imagine… I thought it was the end of me,” Nova shared.

Cancer warrior Zoleka Mandela’s funeral details

According to SA FM, the When Hope Whispers writer – who has been discribed as courageous – will be laid to rest at the Fourways Memorial Park in Johannesburg on Friday, 29 September.

The family said that this is also where her daughter Zenani Mandela, her grandmother Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and mother Zindzi Mandela were buried in 2010, 2018 and 2020, respectively.

CANCER BATTLE
In a statement on Tuesday, the Mandela family revealed that last week Zoleka was admitted into hospital for ongoing treatment for metastatic cancer to the hip, liver, lung, pelvis, brain and spinal cord.


 
The family said that recent scans revealed significant disease progression, including fibrosis in the lungs as well as several emboli.

“Zoleka passed away on the evening of Monday, September 25th. surrounded by friends and family. Our sincerest gratitude to the medical team that took care of her,” read the statement.
