Howza and Salamina are undeniably one of South Africa’s favourite couples. Over the years, they have managed to keep their marriage away from the spotlight as they continue to excel in their marriage. The duo celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on Wednesday and had netizens gushing over them after Howza penned Salamina a touching message on his feed.

“Happy 15th Anniversary my love. Thank you for continuing to choose me in the good and tough moments. We are where we are in marriage by the grace of God. Here’s to many more great memories,” he penned.

During an interview on Defining earlier this year, Salamina is said to have opened up about how she and her husband, the former Scandal! actor worked on their marriage behind closed doors, TshisaLIVE reported.

“We went through a period where we both stopped acting because we didn’t want to have acting jobs that required us to have on-screen relationships and after that period, it was our healing time and a time to find ourselves in the relationship. After that, we were OK because we needed to grow into our marriage, and I’m so glad we did that for ourselves because we didn’t pretend it’s not hard,” Salamina was quoted as saying.

Jo’burg Transport MMC defends R250k Winnie Mandela Drive cost

According to the publication, the quarter of a million rands used to rename William Nicol Drive to Winnie Mandela Drive was spent on several factors including advertising the new name change, the public participation process, as well as contributing factors surrounding erecting the new street signs in place.

Johannesburg Transport MMC, Kenny Kunene attempted to stop critics in their tracks as he defended the amount used to see the project through.

“You can’t put monetary value to the pain of South Africans. You can’t put a price on reconciliation. Reconciliation was not fully done; it is not a one-way street,” he was quoted as saying.

“For us to be able to deal with the pain of apartheid, we must remove all the names of apartheid architects and those who implemented it, those who murdered our people, and those who [caused] us so much pain and trauma,” he reportedly added.

He told SA Rugby Mag: “It is a really big decision, and I have extremely mixed emotions about it. I am bitterly disappointed and sad because I still have some dreams on the rugby field. I feel like some good playing days are ahead of me. But on the other hand, I feel relieved to know that I will not be at risk of further more severe head injuries. He continued: “Considering the number of concussions I have suffered and, above that, the number amount of time it takes to shake off the symptoms afterward, it is better to avoid the risk of further head injuries.”
