Award-winning actress Manaka Ranaka later this October will be stepping into the boxing ring to battle it out with socialite and exotic dancer Zodwa Wabantu. Wabantu finally has a confirmed opponent for the celebrity boxing match after actress and reality TV star Khanyi Mbau denied she would be stepping into the ring.

 
Celebrity boxing matches are becoming a thing in Mzansi. Rapper Cassper Nyovest ignited quite the frenzy when he first took on controversial YouTuber Slik Talk and rapper Priddy Ugly.Ranaka who portrays the character Lucy on SABC1’s ‘Generations: The Legacy’ is amped up for the big night and has been exchanging banter with Zodwa online.In one video, Ranaka challenges Zodwa telling her to come into the ring with her G-string, proclaiming she isn’t afraid of the racy dancer.

The celebrity boxing match is part of the Rise of Women in Boxing tournament to be staged on October 27 at the Ridge Casino, eMalahleni, in Mpumalanga.

News of the two ladies stepping into the boxing ring has sparked quite the reaction from fans with some surprised that the match was even happening. Others have already decided which celebrity they are placing their bets on.

Nandipha Magudumana shared insights into her journey in the medical field during an interview on Mac G’s Podcast and Chill. In 2022, she graced the podcast platform and recounted her remarkable achievement of attaining three degrees.

Dr. Nandipha expressed her lifelong aspiration to become a doctor, a dream that took root as early as age six. She diligently pursued this dream, devoting the majority of her academic years to preparing for medical school. During high school, she began gaining experience by working at a pharmacy at the age of 16.

Adjacent to her school, there was a hospital where she dedicated her time to community service, further enhancing her qualifications for medical school admission.

Her educational journey led her to complete a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Biomedical Sciences, with a specialization in pharmacology and medical sciences. Subsequently, she continued her studies, obtaining an MBBCH degree and entering the workforce as a junior intern.The video of this interview resurfaced on social media just hours after she was detained in a police holding cell, marking a dramatic turn of events in April 2023.

Dr. Nandipha Magudumana found herself arrested in Tanzania, alongside her fugitive boyfriend, Thabo Bester, who had evaded prison by faking his own death in 2022. Magudumana now faces a range of charges, including fraud, obstructing justice, violating a body, aiding and abetting an inmate’s escape from lawful custody, corruption, and arson.
