WHO IS JACQUI MOFOKENG?
One of the most influential Miss SAs is Jacqui Mofokeng. In 1993, she became the first black woman to be crowned Miss SA this was still during apartheid as South Africa only became a democratic nation in 1994.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jacqui was born in 1972 and hails from Soweto, Johannesburg. At the time of her crowning, she was 21 years old and a BCom student at the University of the Witwatersrand.

She shared a close relationship with former South African president Nelson Mandela, who began his presidency in 1994. Mandela also asked the beauty queen to be on the board of trustees for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.

Amy Kleinhans-Curd, who now stars on the Real Housewives van die Wynlande (RHOWL) was the first woman of colour to be crowned Miss SA back in 1992.

Following her reign as Miss SA, the beauty queen started her own business.

She also moved to the US, where she married an American man, according to The Citizen. She is private about her life and her husband’s identity is not public information. However, the pair live in New Jersey with their two children. She was reportedly a stay-at-home mom to her two kids.

Rapper Cassper Nyovest has released his highly-anticipated album titled Solomon and in it he pays tribute to his late archenemy Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.

 

The Company hitmaker was gunned down in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) in February this year. No arrests have been made.

To honour his rival, Cassper penned the song Candlelight, where he reminisces about his interactions with AKA. He also expresses his sorrow at the untimely death of the rapper who was also affectionately known as Supa Mega.

“This time is for the legacy. I don’t do it just to do it, this is therapy. And if this sh*t don’t exist then we develop it. And when I heard it I was just as hurt as the Megacy, uh.

“Man, our battle was the highlight. I was confused when you came and gave me high fives. A very important featurе in my life. And you still shining, yeah, we see you in thе starlights, yeah,” raps Cassper.

Asked about their beef and if he had any regrets, Cassper responded that he does, however, he acknowledges that they were both living in the moment.

The After 10 rapper shared that he had hoped him and AKA would get into a boxing ring to iron things out once and for all. He also shared that they have unreleased music together.

“I thought we were going to get into the boxing ring and handle it there. I thought after that we would be OK and make music. Well, we do have music together that people have never heard. We made a few records together.”

Trouble in Paradise: Popular SA singer Ringo Madlingozi divorces his wife

Popular South African Afro-pop king and EFF MP, Ringo Madlingozi has decided to end his marriage to his wife Nomfundo Nyathi after a decade of struggling to reconcile their differences.

News that Madlingozi and Nyathi are heading for divorce was revealed by the former love-birds’ associates who had hoped the couple would find a way to resolve their issues and grow old together. Madlingozi’s lawyers recently informed Nyathi of his intention to file for divorce, marking the end of their union just a year before Madlingozi’s retirement age and five years before Nyathi enters a new phase of life. At 59 years old, Madlingozi is reaching the end of his career, while Nyathi is 55.


 

 

 

Sources close to the couple revealed the heartbreaking news, expressing their shock at Madlingozi’s decision. Although they had been separated for about a decade, friends and associates had remained hopeful that Madlingozi and Nyathi would reconcile. Following their separation, Nyathi moved to Midrand, while Madlingozi resided in Buccleuh, north of Johannesburg. Despite attempts to mend their relationship, they were unable to find common ground“The hammer has fallen, it’s over. We are gutted. But what can we do? It is what it is,” said the associate, who did not want to be named for fear of comprising the relationship with the former couple.According to one associate, Madlingozi decided to file for divorce because he and Nyathi no longer shared the same aspirations and dreams, leading to a loss of affection between them. The associate also disclosed that the couple had already signed a settlement agreement, which is expected to be formalized by the court. The agreement reportedly ensures that both parties retain their assets and pension funds.

“I have seen it. It doesn’t say much, except to say that they will both keep their assets and pension funds,” said the associate.This is not the first time their marital issues have come to light. In April 2008, It was revealed that Nyathi had left their shared home due to concerns about Madlingozi’s relationships with other women and his absence from their marital bed. However, Nyathi declined to comment on the current situation, while Madlingozi was unavailable for a statement.

The disintegration of their marriage will be a blow to Madlingozi and Nyathi’s loved ones as they had prayed and hoped the two would resolve their differences and age together as husband and wife.

Lusanda Mbane considers this role to be a turning point in her career, opening up many opportunities for her. In her personal life, Lusanda Mbane is happily married to Luzuko Mbane for over fifteen years. They have two children, a daughter named Liqhawe Mbane and a son named Lihlome Mbane. They currently live in Johannesburg, South Africa.
