Oupa Manyisa send birthday message to Brighton Mhlongo

Former Orlando Pirates number one goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo celebrated his 32nd birthday on Thursday and has been receiving well wishes from some of the biggest names in the PSL.


 

 

 

 

 

Brighton Mhlongo’s former teammate at Orlando Pirates and his business partner Oupa Manyisa was one of the first players who took to his official social media where he celebrated this special day.

On Thursday, former Orlando Pirates captain Oupa Manyisa took to his Instagram account where he shared a photo where he was captured alongside his best friend Brighton Mhlongo where they had wore bright and almost matching outfits.

As part of his caption, the former Orlando Pirates jersey number 20 wrote, “Happy birthday brother. Today it’s all about you, my life would suck without you. Wishing you a day that’s as special and awesome as you are. Life is more fun with you by my side you’re totally amazing, irreplaceable bestie”.

When it comes to Brighton Mhlongo and Oupa Manyisa’s football careers, the pair who became synonymous with the colours of the Houghton based outfit during their career highs where they led the club to their second CAF Champions League final in 2013 also plied their trade in four different teams each respectively.

According to Brighton Mhlongo’s player profile on German website 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘵, the now 32 year old Soweto born retired footballer also plied his trade at FC AK, Chippa United, now defunct Bidvest Wits and at now defunct Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila before announcing his retirement from football in July 2021.

In this case of Oupa Manyisa, the 34 year old Soweto born footballer also plied his trade at Mamelodi Sundowns, Chippa United, now defunct Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila and at GladAfrica Championship side Platinum City Rovers.
