1 At the top of Nota’s list is DJ Sbu, who has made a name for himself over the years. Sbu’s he been dedication to his craft and his ability to adapt to changing trends in the industry has made him relevant to this day. DJ Sbu is currently playing overseas which shows that he is working very hard.

Nota is adamant that Sbu can’t be defined by his YouTube channel alone, as he makes more from being booked as a DJ just like MacG.

2 Next on the list is MacG for his innovative approach to music as a key factor in his success. He is growing his Dj career while growing his brand on his YouTube platform. Nota recons he is one of the most booked DJs in the country.

3 Dj Chaotic

4 Mayor league DJs made it onto Nota’s list at number 4, thanks to their skills as a producer and their ability to create fresh music, they are also playing and getting booked internationally.

5 Last but not least, Nota named DBN Gogo as his number 5 pick.

According to Nota, Durban Gogo has made a big impact on the South African music scene, introducing a lot of new artists and songs to the industry.

Nota also claims that the popular “straata” track was made popular by DBN Gogo. Uncle Waffle was launched thanks to a “Khuza gogo dance challenge” made popular by DBN Gogo.

Despite his high praise for Durban Gogo, Nota did mention that there has been some controversy surrounding DJ Waffles, with some claiming that she is better than DBN Gogo because she can “perform and play” at the same time.
