Norma Mngoma has ben vindicated by the Pretoria High Court after they found that her arrest by the Hawks was unlawful. The former finance minister Malusi Gigaba’s ex-wife was arrested last year in July after retaliating as a result of being cheated on time and time again.
Today, a Pretoria judge Cassim Sardiwalla handed out a ruling that the arrest was not lawful and Norma will appear again in court on Friday. reporter tweeted “Pretoria High Court has ruled that Hawks application for arrest of #NormaGigaba and decision to effect her arrest was unlawful. Hawks ordered to return all the info they downloaded from her devices. Hawks ordered to pay her costs.
“She’s due back in court on Friday. Unclear at this stage whether @NPA_Prosecutes will proceed with the malicious damage to property case against her,” she tweeted.
During the whole saga last year, Malusi Gigaba implied that his life was under threat and all fingers pointed at Norma. He claimed that hitmen were hired to assassinate him. Norma’s belongings were seized in order to investigate whether she was involved in the hiring of hitmen to kill her husband.
“There was an element of threat to his life in the nature of the offence; we had to get involved and deal with it. We have done what we had to do. That case now will be referred to the SAPS detective for further investigation,” a source told News24 at the time.
In a tell-all interview with eNCA, Norma held nothing back but her ex reduced the interview to another Moja Love show. She touched on the tape saying it was not meant for her and revealed that Malusi is addict.
“That was not my video. Like, I don’t want to lie. I have never imagined something like that in my mouth so it was not for me. So I do not know who it was for. I don’t even know if he knows who he sent it to because there are a lot of those. They are his videos, they are not mine.”
Norma also shocked everyone when he revealed that his estranged ex-husband is addicted to porn. “He has a problem of porn addiction because he is always watching porn, and sometimes for him, it’s a fantasy,” she said.
